Who is this new group out there? Last thing we need is more rail pulled up! My son brought me the handout from the parade, their website seems to be stirring a little interest.

I don't think it make sense to sell the push-pulls, so it's a move I can see Septa doing. I would think that using the coaches with dual modes like NJ Transit is purchasing, would be the most cost effective way to expand service in non-electrified territory. On another forum, someone posted pics of part of the train in daylight, parked on a siding in Glenside. There also appears to be a few Septa employees working on the switch. I guess that explains it!
Is it a definite that these cars are going to be scrapped? Found them listed here for sale, ad says that there is 80 of them! Looks like some may be saved.

Nope, I believe BASF is pretty much done. It was announced last year that they would be closing, think by December of this year. I know they have been winding down operations.
