Yes sir, back on topic. Why change the names as often as the T does? Is it to help people navigate, or to make political friends, or to look up to date, or what? I understand that some of the changes are inherited from ages ago. If Mechanics had been called Mass Ave (was it, originally?) they it wo...
So if a car was going 50 mph and crashed into a stone wall that was doing 50 mph in the opposite direction, THAT would be worse than a 50mph crash into a stationary stone wall?
Just saw the work train go by Roberts Station, around 12:50PM. Pushed (into Boston) by 3247, didn't catch the number of the lead car (but I think it's the same one that I've seen there a couple times now). The other times I've seen this go by (inbound and outbound) it's had empty flatbeds in between...
Bring back the automats!!!!! Something a bit better but not a full restaurant service. For breakfast, is there a coffee shop in Boston? Southbound passengers can find one in DC Union Station. The important thing is the sleep. South Station has a range of counter service offerings. And there's alway...
1) Travel from spot A to spot B on your first overnight, get out and store your bags at the handy dandy location in the station. Enjoy the city at your leisure for 12 hours, get on the next train leaving that station. Travel from spot B to spot C on your next overnight, get out and store your bags a...

If you look closely at the Google image, you can see the tracks crossing the (now closed) runway in Tasmania, mentioned above: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Wynyard,+Tasmania,+Australia&hl=en&ll=-40.994792,145.731583&spn=0.003765,0.006539&sll=-38.666584,177.977985&sspn=0.015648,0...
Nevermind. I misunderstood the use of the term "couches" in the first post and was going to make a comment about CR passengers
And then one day later he thinks using unspent snow money from this year's budget for the T's problems is a good idea: http://www.newburyportnews.com/local/x843243147/Patrick-eyes-unspent-snow-ice-funds-to-lessen-MBTAs-woes Gov. Deval Patrick said yesterday that his administration is considering the...

Thank you for both answers. I'll look for that MARC thread now (as the 423 rumbles by)
Got two questions, hope this is the right thread. And I hope my terminology is close to understandable! Started a new job in Waltham, with a view near Roberts Station (hence the name). Never had a view of a north side line before, so lots of new things for me to see. I did post in the 010/011 thread...
Got stuck waiting for it here, outbound, just after 10AM. Must have been 419 out of N Station
