OK, here's the first entry!

One of the busiest trains in the entire schedule bites the dust:

Train 133 was aprox 25 mins late for arrival at Rockport, now the MBTA website has the following posted.

"Newbury/Rock 136 07:50 PM IB experiencing 10-15 min delays due to previous mechanical failure 3/29/2011 8:11 PM"

Ok it just seems during the winter the commuter rail almost shuts down due to mechanical problems etc...

Wed. morning (3/30) - Haverhill Line.

#202 canceled according to T Alerts.

#204 ran 15-20 minutes late (from someone else I heard it was closer to 15 than 20). I gave up on #204 and took the personal rubber tired shuttle to work.

I just got about 10 of these with the same theme...

Delay to #204 out of Haverhill again this morning. As the platform LED sign was saying "STAND BACK BOSTON TRAIN" what I suspect was a PAR SEPO (had two CSXT GE widecabs) went eastbound through Andover station. About a 15 minute delay waiting for it to clear up at Shawsheen so 204 could finally go west.

Is this the new alert directly from MBCR and not via the OCC maybe?

I am guessing the OCC is no longer sending the alerts out and these are coming directly from MBCR.

MBCR officially picked up their portion of the alerts the other week, I'll see if I can track down the little Metro blurb about it.
