Just curious, you can see the theater seating portion in the Viewliner theater car, but what's in the rest of the car? Bedrooms, coach type seating, office type seating? Check ouyt my post on the previous page of this thread http://www.railroad.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=155574&start=1...

Did anyone else notice that the 600 has special lettering on the front commemorating President Gunn? The nose reads "David L. Gunn" I was still setting up when this train went by, so I didn't get it with my good camera. Here is a still from my video: DLG.JPG There was a news release about...

My issue has not yet arrived in the mail, but in the back of the last issue of Trains I saw the preview for next issue which read, "Is Amtrak's new ACS-64 a worthy successor to the GG1?" I don't know about you, but I think the AEM-7's were a worthy successor to the GG1, now we need the Spr...

For those interested, tomorrow and this holiday weekend sunday mostly you will want to get out there and photograph these engines. What is left that runs will be running. After the holiday stuff will be parked and may not return as new engines are commissioned. Thanks for the tip! Are you talking t...

I wouldn't hold your breath about being allowed into any of the cars like the American View and the Conference Car because they are primarily used for employees. Solution: Add The American View to the rear and dedicate it just for us employees, especially since we are NOT offered any discount. Lol ...

The biggest treat for you guys would be if they put the 10004 American View on the end and let people sit back there. Although it would be cool, I can see why Amtrak does not do it. It would obviously be the best seat that everyone would want. There would be so many people scrambling for so little s...

Interesting, thanks for sharing gregorygrice!

I think this is a good sign for those (myself included) in favor of sticking with a common scheme across the board. I think that after this change it is very possible that the next batch of cars could come out in IVb.

Thanks for sharing the video and pictures! As a side note, if someone from here puts something on Facebook, please also share it with us on here because not everyone has a Facebook and can access the link. I think what this car needs is a nice design on the front, instead of that big gray area. Mayb...

There will be a few surprises on today's test train Yep. Anyone else feel the insanity in this? We all know what is occurring but yet can't really post it directly until the train is released.. This crap has to blow over soon. ThirdRail7 would be on the head end and will do Meet and Greet in Boston...

What would be cool is if they take one and hide it away for, say, 5 years or so and then randomly send it out on the road one day! I hear when no one is looking, late at night Boardman has been known to sneak into Bear, fire up the turbines and take a turboliner for a highspeed run up the NEC to NY...

Wow, down to the final few. I guess it will probably be hard to predict the final revenue run because it all depends on when the engines fail, right?
