It was business as usual at Penn Station this evening....Inacurate, incomplete information with complete kaos inside and outside
Someone needs to take a course in crisis management

I guess the LIRR will have to settle for a 97% on-time rate this month

Other than not having a conductor check for tickets, on my Monday and Tuesday morning commute, no problems here

If this continues, I may opt to purchase a 10-trip ticket instead of a monthly

When Conductors and Engineers make over 2.5 times their base pay there is a problem

How does a conductor whose base is 75K, take home a salary of 239K?

Ladies and Gentlemen, there is something fishy going on here.

If you doubt me this is all public information

Perhaps I am a skeptic, but the same "technology" that was used for the LIRR's first 100 years, will be used for the next 100 as well Better question should be where will they find the money to build such a system? The MTA is broke and the commuters will be taking it on the chin one more t...

ADL6009... I have no intention about bitching that my train was late 2 days in a row That being said, I look forward to my monthly edition of Train Talk where I can see what numbers the LIRR has conjured up regarding their on-time statistics for the previous month. Everyone knows the numbers are BS ...

I am "Commuter X", a daily commuter on the LIRR

If it is OK, I would like to occasionally post some of my experiences as a paying customer on The Long Island Rail Road.
