Garwood Industrial Track Equipment Storage

Visitors or new residents? observed this morning and still there this evening, parked just east of the Garwood station pointing west.

4106, 4121, 4117 + a collection of assorted Comets and a pair of Arrows to bring up the rear.

Hmm... Interesting.

They're being stored there, and two Comet IV cabs, 5019 and 5025 are on the way.

I changed the title of this thread to make it more accurate to the discussion. Interesting to see that.

5019 is Sandy damaged and 5025 hit a truck on the ACL and the frame is bent.

No, some are Sandy damaged and they put it there to relieve the MMC and 4106 wasn't Sandy damaged but something else had to have happened to it.

sorck any more detail on the 4106? Is it out of commission long term or what? What happened to it?

Something wrong with it or not, seems like the theme is "put stuff here so MMC doesn't have to deal with it".

Sorry, I do not have any info on the 4106.

On Friday, I noticed a set of Arrow III MU's sitting on/beside the ROW just west of Cranford station. Were these being shipped somewhere and left as freight? Would Arrows be on this line for any other purpose?
