Would this be the same line that runs down through Pen Argyl? I have not been up there in awhile, but there were remains of an old yard with and a converted round house with turntable in place. I think it was a paper recycler in the round house.

How about this from Australia, just need some mods for low level boarding. Also add blue paint to where the green is.

Is Rotem having labor problems in South Philly? With the economy in the toilet, you would think these people would be glad to have jobs.
You would be better off leaving the River Line as a light rail line with a connection at Pennsauken, and reopening the the Jersy Central Southern Division to Winslow Junction. Many don't consider the the River Line a success due to poor cost recovery, but has helped the towns along the line. Real Es...
One of the reasons I suggested turning the Quakertown and Newtown line expansion into one project, using RDC's or DMU's. Build a connection (south to North) at Newtown Junction, giving Newtown Branch riders Fox Chase and Fern Rock as Transfer points. The trains could then run express to Landale. Sam...
In depth proposals from 1993, The Delaware Valley Rail Passenger SEPTA Receives Newtown Rail Proposals by John Pawson Both bidders who on April 12 presented SEPTA with private-sector plans to serve the Newtown Line described those plans at a May 13 meeting of the Newtown Township Transportation Advi...
The problem is that it will be uneconomical to rebuild the line to Bethayres According to who? Well, according to reality. If it could have been profitable all these years, or could be profitable now, someone would have stepped forward to engage in that "economical" process already. That ...
In one of Septa's proposals to restore service to Newtown, it was to build a connection to the Cut-off and run a shuttle between a transfer station at the R2 and Newtown. There is room for a ramp, but who wants a two hour commute, transferring to the R2 at Hatboro? The other problem, where to perfor...
New Age Industries is located in Southampton and they manufacture flexible plastic tubing. They could receive plastic resin by rail. There is an existing right of way to the plant, just need to relay rail and put a switch back in. I looked up the location of New Age Industries on Google Maps. It lo...

Although I'm usually on PATCO I don't think EZ-Pass has done what they promised. The discount for frequent users seems no better than the old stickers my Dad used to stick on his window. The only plus is that it does speed traffic since they open less cash lanes now. And I think they got rid of tha...
Maybe they should just move the staion north a few hundred feet and put it on the other side of the tracks. Then lengthen the passing track to allow meets at the station without blocking any of the intersections. The room is there for the second track, and I have seen old pics with the second track ...
You would be better off trying to restore freight service to the line, though there were never many freight customers to serve. Might get a couple in Southampton, Is Agway still in Newtown? Frost-Watson is long gone and don't believe Strathmann will ever sell lumber in any great quantities again.
Maybe they needed a new one on the Warminster line!
I don't believe you will here much screaming until one runs into the side of the train at a crossing.
