Secondly, the reality is the NEC catenary is old and is in dire need of an upgrade. Deferred investment to do so will only make the situation worse in the future. I, for one, hope the money is not diverted. The folks at Amtrak have been asking for wire upgrade funds since the beginning. It would be...

Yes, an Amtrak special instuction is currently in effect that trains can only pull for a certain amount of power. Basically a lil over 50 percent throttle can be pulled (its spelled out for each piece of equipment how much power you can pull) AMT-2 part 3.506 Power cars and hhp8 no more than 50,000...

Well, after the major power problems going on recently, I think it'd be stupid to use dedicated rail money to fix flood damage out west.

Here's an idea. How about stop building towns in flood plains.

I'm curious as to why people keep feeding into these crazed radical right wing whimsies. They want to privatize FEMA too.

Hickory creek should still be there, as well as a bunch of other various equipment. The NS unit I believe was leased by Amtrak to move stone hoppers and other mow stuff according to posts in other threads.

I just spotted what looked like a vinyl appliqué near the center of a multilevel car between the upper and lower row of windows. I barely got to notce it, but it read something "enjoy the great outdoors". Should we be expecting to see more of this?
