The Turtle trip was'nt in 2006. I think the Turtle trip was before all that stuff was moved North. I saw the cars being pulled past the quarry. There was a F unit in the mix. It must have been a weekend move or I would not have been there.

I have rebuilt a quite a few old auto engines. I have never seen timing gears as bad as the ones in your picture. BUT -- I hope you will probably be able to find another non running engine. With luck you can use a lot of parts off it and make one good one out of two. This is the way I had to did it ...

John is still around and very active with RR stuff. I don't know if he still makes those films. He is a fine and well respected man.

Thanks for posting these pictures. I spent a lot of time in Hackensack from the 50s to the 70s. I can't identify the last tower.

How low can people go? This guy did his job in a civil manner. The jerk that posted that video had the nerve to title it a--hole conductor. We all saw the conductor's face. They have no right to film him and then post it to millions of people and give him that title. I guess that's OK in our present...

I Just can't wait for this to happen @ Potter, Inman in Edison, and for that matter Tingley Lane as well. Because I was out railfanning @ Tingley and sure enough, gatecrashers are there too!!! I can't wait until the second track gets up and running and all the gatecrashers will think it's business ...
