10/30/06 Into Avon shortly after 9 am engines #420 and #425 did a big shuffle of the cars at the Avon yard so they could get the 4 cars out for delivery to Kraft. Then they headed down the Industrial track, made their deliveries and took the empties and departed. There was a large supply of covered hoppers in the yard that have been shuffled and set along the eastern sidetrack further up the yard including splitting the cars for the Driveway to Aldon Manufacturing (they ship by truck).

11/01/06 North into Avon at around 9 am. I found it as a 3 engine move. WNYP#432 leading LAL #420 &#425 and 30 cars. The trio cruised thru the Avon yard to Howlett Farms and collected 2 hoppers and proceeded north by 9:30 am

Nov 3,2006 On the LAL today, #432 leading #420 and #425 into Avon, from Lakeville, stopped to switch out Kraft and a stop at Howlett Farms. There were 19 cars brought from Lakeville and 5 were added from Kraft. The drop of two covered hoppers was done shortly after 10 am and the train then headed north.

Came back into Avon from work via Rochester Street at around 5:30 PM and was surprised to see the same three engines as mentioned above shuffling covered hopper cars across 5 & 20. A great view and some great sounds as they moved back and forth.
I wonder how long we will be treated to a triple header?

425 led 420 southbound, spotted at Bailey Road. at approximately 2:50pm. They were pulling approximately 39 cars, and 420 was smoking quite a bit. I returned to RIT for other "academic" activities.... :-)

Caught the same southbound at Mortimer Junction, as the engines throttled up leaving Jefferson Rd. at 2:40pm. 11/8/06 my count was 36 cars. Noted the shuffling of the yard was done upon my arrival back to Avon this evening. I was unable to chase due to my RIT activities, also. :-D
