This morning we arrived at Lakeville around 7 AM. All enginehouse bay doors were open presenting a view of all engines currently at Lakeville.

The road power today was 425 and 420. 420 in the lead northbound and 425 in the lead southbound. The train started from the end of the Line (ADM) picking up two tracks worth of cars down at ADM. Customers switched included Kraft, Howlett Farms, and Matthews & Fields Lumber. Avon Yard was switched on both the northbound trip and the southbound trip.

At Genesee Junction, the train took a trip down the R& S line to Brooks Ave Yard. Several hours later, after switching M&F Lumber, 425 & 420 headed south with a string of at least 12 BNSF grain hoppers and a mix of MCP, Cargill, and GATX loaded corn syrup tanks.

Lakeville yard switcher was 72.

Pictures will be on http://www.lalrailfan.net in the galleries ( http://www.lalrailfan.net/gallery )within a matter of hours.

6/5/06 North into Avon this morning by 8:45 am. #420 and #425 with unknown quantity of cars. After much yard shuffling in Avon, then a Kraft switch and north to Howletts and Rochester. Note: View to Mainline is now restricted due to foliage. Spring has sprung!

Seemed good to get out to watch the yard action today, I have been away for a few weeks working in Washington, DC, primarily. Camera shots to be added to railwatcherphotos later.

Hey Greg...Caught this one at Industry and again at Bailey Road. Don't have an exact count but 20 cars or so seems about right.
