Would this be a detour train or borrowed power, and if a detour, would more be expected?

I've seen some other E's for sale. These aren't in great shape either from what I have heard.

The tourist line I volunteer for has 3 of the trailer cars and they have modern toilets. What did the DL&W use? Is it safe to assume they never used retention tanks?
