FYI 1702 is no longer a spare and is up north like I’ve indicated. FYI, the only one that I see down south is 1711. 1705 and 1709 are most likely spares and will head north when they return. Should be getting more new rotems to come into service soon.

Yeah I realized that the next day after I typed it that 1709 made its way up north. I wouldn’t be surprized if 1705 went back after typing this. Thus making 1711 the only k car that is leading south at the moment. Doesn’t mean that they are done down south, it just means that they are giving the new rotems a chance to operate while slowly phasing out the remaining 1600’s. I also do realize that 1700, 1701, 1703, and 1719 are spares for now and some maybe going in for repairs. This is my observation and all that I know as of right now.

Equipment commonality, like CRail said. It has been noted by him that the Rotems have Fast Brakes and the K-Cars do not. K-Cars have the usual old 26C stand, the Northside “standard”. They are also just plain older, and that's the trend for the Northside.

1705 is now tracking north side. 1711 is the last down south. Like mentioned before, 1700s won't exclusively be north, some may go back south occasionally, but they will primarily operate north side.
