F40 Rebuilds

Last Saturday I saw VIA 6452 heading out of town on the Westbound Canadian. This makes the second rebuilt after 6400 to go west. If it stays on the train all the way to Vancouver, it will arrive on Wednesday.

I will made a list with pictures from all the rebuilted F40PH-2

The 6457 was dammaged,in the train derailment at St-Charles-de-Bellechasse Qc,same wreck than the 6400in last febuary,to be repaired..


And that's the completed F40PH-2 list..(Last list updated in august 14,2010)

I know 6431 has been completed though I have yet to see a picture of it.

Also, 6411 (OPeration Lifesaver wrap) has gone in for rebuilding which leaves only two wrapped units:

6408 (Spiderman 2)

6414 (Lotto Quebec)

Also, 6402 was never a Spiderman unit.

I've seen on railpictures.com that VIA 6432 has been rebuilt and entered service. I don't know if any units were rebuilt between it and 6431.

6432 still on it's old paint scheme..all rebuilt are showed in pictures above,most of the time,I'M the first to get it on picture,cause I live 5 minutes away from Lachine spur,from where they comming from CAD at lachine,a new one should be out this week,But I don't know the road number...

6400 are officialy retired,confirmed by a scene I saw today..(damaged on a wreck in last febuary,with 6457)


6457 are in the shop,should be back in service soon

I missed it because I was At work..

I will get it pretty soon..

6442 has also been rebuild and was photographed leading the Ocean.

Also, 6401 has been rebuilt though I haven't seen any photos of it yet.
