I believe the 1026 was set out at Rochester due to air problems developed when Q560 was setting out cars at Goodman Yard. Was listening to the scanner feed yesterday and CSX was talking about it, apparently working on it. Obviously couldn't fix it as its still there.

1066 had an HEP failure yesterday night on train 019. This it getting really unacceptable on how bad these rebuilds are...

What we're seeing is unfortunately normal. Not everything can come off the factory or out of rebuild 100% perfect. There could be anything from an assembly issue to a manufacturing defect to an actual material defect that occurred long before the rebuild occurred. Ever had to return a defective product you just bought? Or have recall work done on your car?

It seems like it's a mess, but remember the HSPs had significant issues and the Rotem coaches also had issues. They've been largely ironed out now, just took some time. The same will likely happen with these rebuilds.

Just seems like when Boise closed and everything moved to Erie, things went downhill. A friend out there relates a down-sized workforce
there. Meanwhile, the 1026 is still marooned in Rochester.
