Surprised they didn't go to LTE first like the 010 & 011

Moderator Note: These threads are not to be used for back and forth conversations between two members, and constant updates on the disposition of every locomotive in active service is mundane and unnecessary, as is asking for daily reports on the status of an overhaul program.

Does anyone have anything new to share? Updates? Or anything else?

Status quo. Nothing showing despite the 1025 reputedly being placed on the interchange track at Erie. Beginning to think that was a false report.

1025 is there on the interchange track and they are billed east. CSX can be slow with pick ups or maybe they will wait for 1051 to be ready to go.

Also note that we currently have 1064 in testing and will come back to service soon. It’s always nice to see them back into life. It will be more interesting when 1056 and 1062 returns.

Testing in boston?
  by Commuterrail1050
They test down in Rochester over by where equipment is currently stored. After, they bring them back to Boston to be put on a set.

I saw 1031 earlier this week with a pretty sizable and recent looking dent on the nose below the headlight. I'm guessing it's storm related damage, maybe a tree or something like that.

The 1025 is reported back in the plant at Erie. The 1051 is now due out.

There's also a report the 1057 had a major failure yesterday or today?

What was the major failure?
  by JacobKoppel
1051 on the interchange track. Awaiting CSX pick up.

1057 blew a piston rod.

Why did 1025 go back to the plant? More defects or failures
  by TrainFan1035
Will 1057 go back to mpi to get fixed like 1063?
  by Commuterrail1050
Only if there is a defect it will. Not sure if blowing a piston is considered a defect like a malfunction as an example.
