Thanks. I wish Amtrak would post all of the service issues in one place rather than making people look at the website and/or twitter.

Does anybody know what happened to westbound Wolverine #355 (3rd) on the DET Corridor that
shows no times west of Ann arbor but is figured into CHI about 7' 30" late???

Also, why #19 (3rd) southbound Crescent lost about 4' 45" from Alexandria to Culpepper??

On 19, my understanding is it hit a vehicle.

43 (4) held at Harrisburg until 2PM then proceeded to lose another 90 minutes getting to Harrisburg. It's 3:06 late as of this post.
I don't understand why they ran it, since they said all service was suspended.......

Does anyone have data on how often an LD train into Chicago is late enough that passengers miss their connections and have to stay overnight? This would help with the analysis in another thread you may have noticed in this forum. Even better would be the actual or approximate number of people who miss connections in Chicago and have to stay overnight in any given year, or weekly average, or some such. We are mostly guessing at this key fact of the discussion, or estimating it from circumstantial evidence.

Does anybody know why #22 (19th) eastbound Texas Eagle lost about 5' 30" from Pontiac to Joliet yesterday?

Arrived @ CHI about 7' 00 late.

Also, eastbound Lincoln #306 (20th) lost about 3' 10" in the same area; and westbound #21 (20th)Texas Eagle and Lincolns #305 & 307 all lost 2'00" to 4'00" there.

And, #22 (20th) today Arv. STL 40" Early & Dp'd. 45" late for a dwell time of 85" (or 1' 25" if you prefer)!

Texas Eagle 22-19 lost 5 hours because of a disabled freight train south of Joliet. 21-20 lost 8 hours (ending up terminating in Fort Worth and being busituted to the rest the way) and the Lincoln's lost time because of the broken freight and single tracking north of Little Rock.
