Why would Steam in the Notch not happen again? The engine will be emerging from a 15 year overhaul.......after the shakedowns and such, why won't it be ready? The actual plan has been for steam to return for 2017.

It's not much of a stretch for those paying attention.

Hopeful to see her for Steam In Snow in January actually.

We are aware that this past July 4th was the Town of Conway's 250th Anniversary and due to increased activities and volume of folks in and around town that this is why the shuttle was used?

Depending on the schedule, the Notch train is pulled up along side the Valley Train for servicing of the water tanks and dumpers, and then goes into the north yard. Then we back it into the platform. As bigfreight had stated......350 cars to be stored. You can see them from the diamond in Whitefield.
All blocked off with signage and an orange temp gate.

They will not run Sunday :-)
