NS has no "Connection" to Des Moines really. BNSF brings trains from W Quincy for them. W Quincy crew to Burlington up the K line, then galesburg crews to Des Moines. NS crews run the yard there, but I wonder if Roanoke knows about them?

Not sure about the Address. You can park just past the J City track if oud like. But most guys are up between CSX and NS. Going across Pine Jct tracks ( the interchane yard) will get US Steel Police on you.Id say a car length off the road would be as far as you would want to go.

I didnt pay to go on BNSF when I got my card. I did pay for eating there. But everything else was covered. As a side note BNSF does NOT allow someone off the street to play engineer there. If your doing the engineer for a day program at a local museum thats cool. Hoosier Valley railroad museum offers...

Joliet has EJ&E 673 and 662 running. 673 was the south end power and 662 I think was on the 528. Most of the junk power Cn owns is here. I f you do catch J power you will notice that the CN has spray painted the trucks black on a few. Only ONE J engine is in CN colors and thats 668. Shes regular...

Park in between the NS and CSX. That building is on RR Property. I work for hte J ( till the 17th then off to Metra) and have seen tons of fans there recently. As long as you are respectful and out of the way noone cares. Be advised US Steel is watching you. SO stay away from their property. They hav...

CN background check isnt that detailed. Now if you go to Metra or Amtrak, another story. I really dont think they will do more than see if you have a few tickets or an arrest record. Good luck!

You would be correct about Marquette Ia. being the crew change point. Also Spike is correct about the CB&Q Ottumwa jobs.Galesburg still has the pools set as Ottumwa East and Ottumwa West, even though they are all in the Burg now.
