Cab car 2410 is out and about from its overhaul.

I don't know which car is next, but only five remain to be done: 2402, 2403, 2404, 2406, and 2409.

#2406 undergoing overhaul at this time.

Unofficially, next week. Most likely a couple/few weeks. No concrete dates from people I have spoken to.

Is SEPTA leasing these cars, like they did a few summers ago when the Silverliner Vs went out of service? Or did they purchase them outright, like they did with NJT's old Comets? Lease for right now. Marc #s 7745,7747,7748,7753,and 7755. All decommissioned cab cars. Ironing out some trainline issue...

That's the rumor.

I am nervous for this move....I am just wondering can these cars from SEPTA keep schedule and keep the speed. I'm nervous for another reason. Weren't these engines unreliable since they've never been overhauled? There is plenty of life still left in the old girls. Frazer shops have been working aro...

Hearing chatter that the powers that be are considering trying to get some of the MARC equipment again. Don't know if lease or outright purchase. We shall see.

It is believed that the engineer thought he was elsewhere along the route. How he became unaware of exactly where he was can only be guessed at this point. More details will obviously become available in time. This incident will be the poster child for more rapid deployment of positive train control...

Great just what Septa and the passengers need, the comets back with their usual unreliable running, not to mention it takes away another engine from the regular bomber sets, they can barely keep the 7 AEM7s and ALP44 going long enough to run 6 bomber sets Monday to friday Agreed, I don't understand...

They are ready to roll, just need a working engine to pull 'em. As soon as one becomes available out they go.
