By any chance does anyone know the engines that were destroyed in this derailment? Because it looks like a SD40-2 and maybe Dash9. Also, if they did get derail what would have caused them to derail if for one they were on a straight track along with being in Energency.

I have both the line from N.Winston to Rural Hill along with the short line to North Wilkesboro done on a Train sim (On the radio is called YV1/2). Yepp thanks I checked out those frequencies 160.500 and 160.815. I recently did some listening in on the channels and I noticed 160.500 is the road channel for the two lines the line to North Wilkesboro is called Yadkin Valley train 2 the other line I believe is just called the Mount Airy Line. I want to say 6004 has a Leslie but more so sounds like a high pitched Nathan. As for 6003 seems to have Nathan K3LA or something simliar on a Leslie!!

Thanks but I do remember coming across mostly all CN power had a K3L and nothing but. But any ideas for the SD40-2s??

Does anyone know the track speed in and around Winston-Salem Yard?? One of the locomotives on the line had a digital read of the speed and it said 11mph but why so slow could it have something to do with the track condition??

Do Radio Frequencies have ranges because I have a Radio Scanner that is post to pick up train frequencies but sadly it doesn't but any suggestions on how to figure it out but the other bad part is I live off of a short line named Yadkin Valley but once in a while NS runs on it. I live on the Northside of town and the line sees NS power along with KLWX trains and seems to me like KLWX locomotives must be assigned to this line because engines 6001,6003 and 6004 continue to appear over here around 6:30 to 7am on the weekdays!!
