Your favorite / least favorite paint schemes!!

I grew up in California, so I will always be partial to the good old SP. Personally I like the daylight colors of SP.

BNSF H2 grew on me. I'll have to order another model. Basically NP colors I think.

Newer UP is nice with the flags and wings

New CSX is nice, I just wish they would learn to paint the TOP and BOTTOM of the ends, and click on a larger point size when painting CSX on the nose!

NS looks a little classy right now. At least most of their motive power all looks the same. Uniform is nice.

CP Gold mediailion (sp) is growing on me too.

SF Red/silver looks nice. Something about silver...

And, Amtrak Phase 4....with an all ph4 coaches/superliners looked nice.

LIKE: Green Mountain! Now that we have seen it, I like it!

I'm very sad about that. The NERAIL Photo Archive was one of the few web sites I check several times a day.

If you go to the web site, there is a big explanation on the front page about why it is down and when it will be back again.

I have a new "nominee" for great paint scheme. The Maine Eastern
F-40PH units went by me a few weeks ago in Fitchburg on the way to Maine. WOW did they look great!!

I am also going through NERAIL withdrawl! I really miss it!

Those Maine Eastern units do look pretty sharp. Morristown & Erie's other paint schemes are quite nice as well.

Yup, M&E really can apply some classy looks to their engines. The C-424 in red, black w/trim looks great too.
