Railtrailbiker has a point; it was a holiday weekend.
However, in all immodesty, the print media have little if any trouble finding NJ-ARP for comment, regardless of the day or weekend.
Though it's always risky to use oneself as a barometer, NJ-ARP would dare not assume it alone is available for comment on weekend and/or holiday periods.
Moreover, good (and even lazy!) journalists just love controversy, and if one can legitimately obtain such from a known critic or foe of any protagonist, one might find such without too much effort. That critic, in turn, might want an "open shot" at his target.
But perhaps we over-evaluate and -- as Railtrailbiker notes -- perhaps it all can be chalked up to the holiday weekend. If so, a missed opportunity for the Hackensack Riverkeeper.
