It was because the "disable BBcode" box was checked. I un-checked it, and now the pics show up.

Next time you post, make sure that box is not checked. Here's a picture of what it should look like:

BBCode consists of the various codes that allow you to format your messages on the site, such as bold text, underlined text, clickable links, inserting photos into messages, etc. When the "disable BBCode" box is checked, it prevents those codes from working, which is why your picture didn't show up.

Normally that box would be un-checked by default, but sometimes people hit it by accident, and other times their accounts are set up that way on purpose. If you go into your user control panel, you can set it so that BBCode is always on by default:

Just make sure that all of the options on that page are set for "Yes" and then click submit. That should prevent any future problems.
