HEADS UP: Heritage Units on CSX

Okay so I got two things:

1) Q009 should have Conrail today, trailing, heading to Chicago IL (Bedford Park (CSX))


AND


2) NS 1068 (ERIE) is on train U-ELUCXY0-24T to Cicero IL to hand off to CSX where it becomes K010 to Selkirk where they will take it to the Port of Albany. I will try to find out if it's leading or not.

CR 8098 is leading Q004 today.
Should be a daylight run from Buffalo to Selkirk.
Supposedly in the Cleveland area now per a T.O. report.

Passed Wayneport NY (CSX QC356.6) at around 14:30 this afternoon... Saw it for the 2nd time in just about 4-5 days in the lead position... Today was much better in the daylight... Lol.

NS 8098 passed Reber Road, Rome, NY at 2045 on 8/10/14
delayed east bound due to track work

Last night the ERIE heritage and U-ELUCXY0-24T has finally got underway... overnight it reached Chicago IL, so with that it should be on the CSX this morning through Indiana and Ohio... Probably won't get to NY till later tonight (10 pm, 11pm ,12am ,1am) and most likely the train will either leave Buffalo tomorrow or Thursday. But shall see what happens...

NS 1068 (ERIE) is leading the K012-11, spotted in Hammond, Indiana at 10:51 am according to Heritage Units website.

BNSF M-GALCSX1-21A has the NS 1065, Savannah & Atlanta heritage leading to CSX Barr Yard in Chicago Illinois, as of 6:16 AM ET it was going through Verona IL. If this unit does head east, it might be on Q380.

Per Train Orders: NS 1065 (Savannah & Atlanta heritage) is on Q380 to Selkirk New York, it's nearing Deshler Ohio about 4:17 pm.

Q380 with the Savannah & Atlanta heritage (NS1065) is in Buffalo tied down... Should get a crew soon and head east to the next yard.. Rochester's Goodman St Yard. This train probably won't head east until the Maple Leafs make there station stop.

380 combined with 386...S&A unit lead 386 through Rochester around 11:59 Sunday night

S&A Heritage went onto the Riverline on Q433 to Oak Island, NJ, it was leading the train with CP AC4400CW #9559 & CSX ES40DC #5326. It should return to Selkirk NY on Q434 but maybe as a trailing unit? Then after who knows what CSX will do with the heritage, could put it back down the riverline or put it on mix freight or auto rack train.

S&A heritage (NS 1065) is leading CSX Q434 (Oak Island to Selkirk) heading to Selkirk... will be in between 10 and midnight tonight unless something held them up, after that CSX will either send the heritage east to B&A, west to Buffalo, or South to the River line. Should find out either Thursday or Friday.

CSX train Q385-28 will have NS 1065 "Savannah & Atlanta" heritage... On duty 16:40 this evening at Selkirk NY. Yet another night run through Western New York.

Q385 runs from Selkirk NY to Willard OH, so lets hope it can return on Q384 soon!

But of course. It's on the memo. CSX and NS are competitors, and CSX does not want to give NS any free advertising or attention, especially since CSX does not have any heritage units and NS thought of it before they did. The memo states that any NS power with fancy livery MUST be operated only during hours of darkness!

Yup, this morning at 4:40 am was Q385-28 with S&A leading 2 CP AC4400CW's at Batavia NY. Oh well. LOL
