0215-0410/04-26-2023 started at the start with D-3 answering FI-2, waiting and then repeating the answering x2 at 0216, next rogering what they said, asking how many trash cars they left on West Main Street, and eventually confirming that there would be 3 -- three -- loaded trash cars from Ayer.
Things would go quiet until brief and unanswered 0238 Road-side hash, so mebbe FI-2 or equally mebbe -- and as will be seen -- AY-3.
At 0249, the 333 WLs were at Stop, dark KCIRs 7517 and 7727 plus NewBlue 3402 with boxes W on 1. ED495 or EDPO? Dunno.
Over at 334, all was red, including the marker on tanks 100+ yards E of the ! WB stagger, so it should be no big surprise that the 335s were dark.
Most of the way WB up Da Hill and at 0303, there was brief Dispatcher-side hash, and all the way up Da Hill, the 345s were dark. From the computer company to the W FP, 2 in the yard had mixed general that included unplacarded tanks, a coil car, covered hoppers, and then more tanks among the visibles. To the E, there was a mix of 1 box and 3 covered hoppers across from the MART garage. Given the lack of length on the EB at Wachusett, mebbe some had just been left. In between the House and the MART fence sat a hy-rail excavator, the business end up against the tie stack.
EB and at 0316 and +. there was Dispatcher-side hash, and 7 later, D-2 confirmed with NA-2 that all switches were lined and locked normal and that they were on the move S, then wishing them a good night.
At 0325, naught had changed at the 333 WL, and the EB staggers for 330 would be at Approach, all else dark, up to and including the EB staggers for Derby at 0343.
At 0337, the W end of East Side and the FI-1/2 parking spot had been MT, naught further IDable to, from, or about them soince the start. Brief 0341 Yard-Channel hash had broken the company radio silence, and there was no change for the ties or loader at the RVJ lot at 0343.
At 0345, there was D-? garble that contained "checking status" and then in a bit "all correct," that being followed in 4 by D-2 answering LA-2 and then going into hash mode.
Company radio silence resumed until 0410 when D-3 answered AY-3,OKing them on signal indication towards CPF AY for their desired move to run around their cars between AY and WL.
427? Naught audible from inside Château-jaymaq at the possible times and only brief 0354 CSX Boston Sub hash, but naught -- including hash -- from the P&W to support a possible WB.

0215-0435/04-28-2023 was eventful, small bits of mostly Dispatcher-side hash at the start, and at 0231, D-1 answered M427, asking if they were W and clear of Barbers, and then rogering the presumably affirmative response. 0236 was the time for some P&W Road hash, so mebbe the same transaction for CP 45.
After a few more Dispatcher-side eruptions, D-3 breakingly answered FI-2, "Keolis," "5953," and "2" being the clarities.
More retentive readers will note a stretch in arrival interval at the 333 WLs, the Rte. 2 WB offramp to Princeton Road/ Rte. 31 shut down for paving and detouring me. Going EB at the all-Stops 334s there were tanks -- but with either a dead or a missing marker -- and at 0253 and on 1 at the also-all-Stops 333 WLs, KCIRs 7517, 7727, and NB 3402 were still sitting on 1 as they had been on 04-26, making for 2x in 2 weeks that an EB had gone nowhere at Wachusett for at least 2 days.
The 335s were dark, and at 0308, FI-2 called out to D-3, and then 2x more at 0309, D-3 giving a broken permission to the 5963 to reverse direction, the deets lost.
Up Da Hill, the 345 ELs were at Stop, and at 0311, 16R with NS 6945 called out to D-3 who said something broken and then said their freight would be going to Track 8. There was more about the trailer and pulling MTs and a speedo. but I was focused on staying on the pavement of the offramp.
The marker was by the ambulance company, and the 6945 and stablemates 9829 and 9842 had gotten on the move when I got to the Jade lot, a total of 16 cars getting onto the Single at 0316. There was a mix of covered hoppers and unplacarded tanks -- a few being ADMXs -- but no racks, so either no San-Vel EBs today or on a 264. There were also no trash cars. 4 in the yard was pretty much FP-FP with covered hoppers -- including a few shorties -- among the visibles, and the Extension and 1 had a box and more covered hoppers -- again including a shortie -- to about the midpoint of Chair City Oil. 2 looked MT. The hy-rail excavator had gone, and there had been 0317 Dispatcher-side hash, but the EB trip started off and stayed quiet for a bit.
At 0333, the 333 2 WL had gone to Clear, but the restof the area was unchanged. Further E, the EB staggers for 330 showed an Approach for 1 and Clear for 2, all else dark, up to and including the EB staggers for Derby at 0351, the ties and loader as earlier. 5 earlier, the FI-2 parking spot had been predictably MT, 1 covered hopper on the W end of East Side.
Company radio silence got broken at 0412 and 0415 by Road-Side hash, and when I got outta my car at 0418, there was both XNG and power noise, so I got back in the car. At 0420, D-3 answered AY-3 and advised that his plan was to get them lined up and in the yard 1st. AY-3 probably said something, and D-3 said they were in the yard 1st. 16R? There was 0422 Road-side hash, and at 0426, D-3 gave FI-2 permission to reverse direction from where they stood and proceed W to CPF AY, suggesting Arrowhead had been served. 0431 produced Yard-Channel hash to, from, or about AY-3, and 0435 produced more Road-side hash. I got outta the car, and there was no power noise, so possibly an EB had tied down at Burncoat, but I got tired of waiting.

0210-0415/05-02-2023 started at 0211 with D-1 calling out to M427 with the CSXT 473, no response or repetition heard.
At 0428, D-1 would answer the 427, roger what they said, and call them clear of the territory. There would be P&W Road hash at 0243, possibly a similar transaction. In between that, there would be alternations of both-sides-of-Channel-1 hash, and at 0251, D-3 would answer FI-2 with the 5972, give them permission to reverse direction from where they stood to proceed W on 2 towards CPF AY, and then give an "all correct" to the readback.
Today's routing was not typical cuz both the Princeton Road/Rte. 31 and Plan B off-ramps to Wachusett were shut down, so it was straight up Da Hill.
At 0353 and just before my seeing the all-Stops 345 ELs, there were 16R car countdowns, and covered hoppers would be creeping across the Timpany Boulevard UGB. At 0254, the 346.6 gave a no defects and 37º, but no axle count or train too slow, the lack of an acknowledgment from a possible WB suggesting a long 16R. The 345 2 WL was at Medium Clear, and the power was pulling through 4 onto the P&W, with more covered hoppers, boxes, unplacarded tanks, and a wrapped centerbeam among the visibles. The power came to a stop in the obscured area just N of Planet Fitness, and given the walking-and-winding time ahead of the C, I got EB without IDs.
EB, things were quiet except for 0305 AMTK hash, and the 335s, 334s, and -- at 0317 -- the 333 WLs were dark. At 0313, D-3 had answered 264 and given them" IM-1 and 2" as yarding instructions, repeating it as "IM-1 and IM-2." Unlike usual instructions for 264, there was no mention of waters, so dunno if they mighta been on IM-3 or handled otherwise.
The EB staggers for 330 were at Approach, all else dark, up to and including the EB staggers for Derby at 0338. At 0321, there had been brief Road-side hash, and at 0332, dark, solo, and W-facing NewBlue 5973 -- not the earlier-mentioned 5972 -- had been sitting in the FI-1/2 parking spot, the W end of East Side MT. Guessing the 5973 might be cycling out.
0338 had also shown no change for the ties and loader in the RVJ lot, but a few later there was a change at a refueling stop, the Main Street/Rte. 13 Speedway having no price advantage over its Cumby's competitors.
Starting at 0351, there would be hashing on Channels 1 and 2, things clearing marginally at 0403 when D-3 answered FI-2 and then garbled.
At 0411, D-3 advised AY-3 that FI-2 was now outta the way , so it was OK to shove down to WL, that soon followed by FI-2 telling themselves there were 3 to go, naught else getting to me by the end of 0415.

0215-0405/05-03-2023 was on the quiet side, 0224 P&W Road tones and hash being the only suggestion of possible M427 activity.
0233 produced a small amount of Yard-Channel hash, and 1 later produced D-2 garble and then hash to DOBO. 0236 was when a "back 40" came outta the speaker on Dispatcher side, suggesting 16R or 264 was getting close to shoving into the yard, but scanner timing would keep subsequent car countdowns unIDed. There was an "FI-2" partial at 0244, but they -- as will be seen --were to the W.
The Princeton Road/Rte. 31 off-ramp was open, so normal routing was possible. The 333 WLs were dark at 0246, as would be the 334s, 335s, and 345s in sequence. The Extension and W on 1 up to the E end of the Pratt yard had LPGs, scrap gons, and covered hoppers among the visibles, 2 and 4 looking MT. Boston West's 0307 hash proved the scanner was still functioning.
EB was quiet, and the 333 WLs were dark at 0318. There was 0322 Road-side garble to D-3, who then repeated that FI-2 wanted to go West Side to OX. The EB staggers for 330 were at Approach, and the 330.8 WBs, 330s. and GL WLs dark.
The FG WLs were at Stop, the 2 next going to Clear and getting dropped at 0331 by solo and EB KCIR 5972 at 0331. At 0333, the W end of East Side had a few covered hoppers, and the NewBlue 5973 of 05-02 was elsewhere.
At 0340, the EB staggers for Derby were dark and the tie-and-loader situation unchanged.
0341 would be the start of a number of FI-2 receptions -- 3-steps among them -- of varied clarity for as long as proximity permitted.
At 0403, there was brief Dispatcher-side hash, but naught else by the end of 0405.

0215-0410/04-05-2023 started off with a large amount of CSX Boston Sub hash, 15 later there being "company" Dispatcher-side hash followed by Road-side hash.
At 0232, M4237 would be answered not by "District 1 Dispatcher," but by "Q1," an ID repeated when a "roger" and "clear" were given. To save suspense, all subsequent Dispatcher-side receptions were either hashed or garbled, so dunno how D-2 and D-3 might be selfIDing. Naught P&W would get heard.
At 0247, the 333 WLs were dark, the 334s, 335s, and 345s following. Gardner yard was MT.
EB and at 0307, the 346.6 came on still -- naturally -- as "Guilford Rail System." My OCD was sufficiently in check that I didn't uie at Rte. 140 cuz if it was 264, they'd be E by the time I got back W.
Today's rerouting happened at the closed offramp from Rte. 2 EB to Princeton Road/Rte. 31, so there was no view of the 333 WLs. The South Street exit was taken, as was Rte. 2A W, which showed the EB staggers for 330 with an Approach for 1 and Clear for 2, strongly suggesting the EB was 264.
All else was dark, up to and including the EB staggers for Derby at 0341. 6 earlier, KCIR 5972 was dark and W facing and leading another unIDable KCIR in the FI-1/2 parking spot, racks on the W end of East Side. The 0341 visit to the RVJ lot also showed that the tie supply had been replenished that there had been no change in loader and accessories status.
0350 AMTK hash broke the radio silence, and 4 later, there was Dispatcher-side hash -- again no clear selfID -- that sounded like yarding instructions at Ayer, 1 more data point for the EB being 264.
The next 16 were quiet.

0210-0420/05-08-2023 started off with 0211 Dispatcher-side hash. 0228 would provide a P&W Road tone and then hash 4 later, that followed by more Dispatcher-side hash, but naught IDable to, from, or about M427.
At 0243, the 333 WLs were at Stop, a supposed 16R with NSs 6945, 9595, and 9829 having done that on 1 with covered hoppers and tanks to the immediate W. Over at the all-Stops 334s, the cars were now racks on either side. Stops were on the 334 ELs and WLs, no marker visible from the lot.
Today's rerouting was at the OOS Rtes. 2/!40 ramp to Rte. 2 WB. During the loop-de-loops. there was 0300 Road-side hash and 0305 D-? hash that would include "0400" and "they haven't put it back in service yet," possibly D-2, given a later reception.
Up Da Hill, the 345s were dark, and the Extension and 1 W to the E end of the Pratt yard had tanks, boxes, covered hoppers, coil cars, and a tented centerbeam among the visibles, so probably just left by the presumed 16R. There had been 0317 Dispatcher-side hash, followed in 4 by mebbe-D-1 garble to or about M427.
EB at 0326 was the start of an extended period of Dispatcher-side hash that would clear only enough to hear "between CPF FR and CPF ??" and "G201," so guessing a Line 4 for the Lawrence area.
At 0331, Wachusett was as it had been earlier, and the EB staggers for 330 would be at Approach, all else up to and including the FGs dark.
At 0346, the FI-1/2 parking spot was MT, but the W end of East Side had a pair of covered hoppers. 6 later, the RVJ lot was active, so there was no view of the EB staggeres for Derby, but the tie-and-loader status seemed unchanged.
Starting at 0404 and into 0405, D-3 would answer FI-2 x5, my changing location putting any deets into garble. Next a semi-breaking P&W Dispatcher St. Albans would answer M426 (six) and confirm that they were clear of Worcester Yard. There was a request for the lineup, but things then went to hash.
0415 produced Road-side hash, and at 0418, D-1 as District 1 Dispatcher answered M426 with the CSXT 473 and OKd them to bring it up to Greendale and tie it down. D-1 would ID himself as "District 2( pause) 1," which was probably the source of my 04-05 "Q-1." Are 3rd trick D-1 and D-2 combined or are musical desks in effect?
The end of 0420 ended quietly.
 #1621828  by jaymac

0215-0420/05-10-2023 started at the start with D-3 answering FI-2 and then giving the 5972 permission to reverse direction from where they stood and proceed W to CPF AY, a duplicate to follow at 0412, making seem like Arrowhead had been active, along with D-3 acknowledging that they were going to West Side with 5 trash and 11 Deerfields.
0227 would produce brief Yard-Channel hash and the quiet. At 0247, the 333 WLs were at Stop, an EDWhatever sitting on 1 with KCIR 7541, NewBlue7523, and KCIR 5933 E of a covered hopper and utility poles. Over at the all-Stops 334s, slurries and covered hoppers were among the visibles. At 0255, a breaking D-3 would say something to FI-2 and then change over to AY-3. The 335 ELs and WLs were at Stop, no marker visible E.
At 0303, a breaking D-2 would call out to M427 (seven), the clear bits including "Graniteville" and "tie down at Meadowcroft." Dunno if this was a late or 2nd 427. Naught else to, from, or about 427 or 426 would come outta the speaker. 7 later, D-2 would call out to LA-2 and then go garbled.
Up Da Hill, the 345s were dark, and the Extension and 1 W to the E end of the Pratt yard had a tented centerbeam, a box, 2 bulkheads of sheet steel, and a coupla unplacarded tanks scattered among all the full-size and shortie covered hoppers. A brief break in radio silence came at 0317 with Dispatcher-side hash.
The EB trip was quiet until more Dispatcher-side hash at 0326, and at 0330, the 333 WLs were unchanged, as was the EB.
Further E, the EB staggers for 330 were at Approach, all else dark, up to and including the EB staggers for Derby at 0352.
From just E of the 333 WLs and at every possible ZombieZone, there would come spells -- some short and other longer -- of Dispatcher-side hash with a coupla Road-sides just for variety. At 0345, the FI-1/2 parking spot had been MT, 2 covered hoppers on the W end of East Side. The viewing of the EB staggers for Derby had also showed that the ties and loader were elsewhere and the at least the S rail of the 2 had been renewed and fresh stone put down.
Spotty hash continued until 0404 when D-3 called out to AY-3 and asked how many they had for West Main Street, thanking without repeating. 6 later, D-3 again answered AY-3, then asked their engine number, next giving the 7575 what would end up as a 241 for 1 E to 1 to West Main Street, and giving the readback an all correct.
Silence ruled the last few.

0210-0405/05-12-2023 was slow. There was brief 0211 Dispatcher-side hash, followed at 0222. by a brief eruption on the San-Vel channel. 0228 produced extended Dispatcher-side hash, and at 0233, D-2 reached out to M427 with the CSXT 474, the 1st of a number of such events.
0238 produced Dispatcher-side hash with only "Foreman" intelligible, and 5 later, the 333 WLs would be dark, the 334s and 335s following. At 0252, there was Road-side hash followed by a Dispatcher-side roger and thank you.
At 0257 and when mosta the way up Da Hill, there was extended D-2 garble to M427, the length suggesting a 241. 0258 produced more D-2 hash to 427, so mebbe an "all correct."
Up Da Hill, the 345s were dark and the yard MT. Things EB would be quiet until 0309 Dispatcher-side hash. The 333 WLs were dark at 0312, and in a few, the EB staggers for 330 were at Approach.
Post-refueling stop, the 330.8 WBs and all else were dark, up to and including the FGs. At 0333, dark, solo, and E-facing KCIR 5972 was in the FI-1/2 parking spot and the W end of East Side MT. 6 later, the RVJ lot was active, so the there was no view of the EB staggers for Derby, but the stub had 2 covered hoppers.
At 0347, there was brief Road-side hash, followed in 3 by a P&W Road tone, that being followed by a breaking P&W Dispatcher St. Albans calling somebody clear of Greenwood, so not an M426 transaction.
At 0358, D-2 again called out to 427, repetitions coming at 0359 and 0400, but naught else by the end of 0405.
Do hope comms improvement is on the CSXT agenda.
 #1622174  by jaymac

0210-0405/05-16-2023 gave brief Yard-Channel hash at 0213. 5 later D-3 answered FI-2, rogered what they said, and then OKd them down to CPF AY on signal indication, quiet next ensuing.
Right-lane paving on Rte. 2 WB had closed access to Princeton Road/Rte. 31 and the next exit, so it was straight WB up Da Hill.
Near the Rte. 140 North/Exit 90 ramp, there was brief 0248 Dispatcher-side hash, and the 345s would be dark and the yard MT.
Quiet would continue, and the ramp to Rte. 2A E was taken, silence broken at 0303 when a breaking D-? reached out to M427 with what sounded like the 473. As I lost elevation, the reception devolved into prolonged hash, so mebbe it was D-3 giving yarding instructions or mebbe D-1 issuing or fulfilling a Form D. No later receptions would help. In the midst of the hash storm, the 335s, 334s, and later at 0311, the 333 WLs were dark.
The EB staggers for the 330s were at Approach and the 330.8 WBs. 330s, and GL WLs dark.
The FG WLs were at Stop, naught visible W. The ELs were also at Stop, a long string of racks on the W end of East Side and far enough W to probably be the shunting, and at 0329, the FI-1/2 parking spot was MT.
At 0331, there was a clear "15," but naught further to suggest the source or site of the car countdown, and 4 later, the EB staggers for Derby were dark, 2 covered hoppers on the the RVJ stub.
There was 0351, 0353, and 0400 Dispatcher-side hash, but naught informative.

0210-0405/05-23-2023 started at the start with D-2 calling out to NA-2, my changing position garbling following developments.
At 0212, M427 called out to D-1 who answered with the added specification of "CSXT 471." There was some garble and then a roger, so it was probably an acknowledgment that 427 was off the territory.
At 0215, a breaking D-? called out to M426 (six) with something about Track 1, and 3 later, the P&W Dispatcher St. Albans called the 427 clear.
0230 was when a breaking FI-2 called out to a marginally clearer D-3 who asked how many cars they had, rogered the response, and said he'd get them going.
At 0243, the 333 WLs were dark, " the 334s and 335s .
Up Da Hill, the 345s were dark, and 4 in the yard was pretty much FP-FP with mixed general, covered hoppers, TBOXs, and shortie tranbks among the visibles. Also visible were 2 clear-tented cnterbeams and 1 -- and 1st for me -- Westervelt-tented centerbeam, that company HQd in Tuscaloosa.
The 333 WLs were dark at 0315, and the EB staggers for 330 would be at Approach, all else dark up to and including the EB staggers for Derby at 0338, 2 covered hoppers on the RVJ stub..
Radio silence had gotten broken at 0324 when a a garbling D-3 gave FI-2 with the 59?? permission to reverse direction from where they stood and proceed W on presumably Track 2 to CPF AY, probably indicating that Arrowhead had been worked. 6 later, D-3 had answered 16R, but ZombieZones being ZombieZones, the rest had gotten hashed. That would be the last "company" reception of my trip. 2 after that, the FI-1/2 parking spot had been MT, 2 covered hoppers on the W end of East Side.
At 0405, Boston West had demonstrated that the scanner was still capable of receiving, and just before 0400, P&W Dispatcher St. Albans did the same.
 #1622730  by jaymac

0206-0405/05-24-2023 started at the start with M427 calling D-1, clearly enough that they were probably at New Bond. The call was repeated 0207 and 0209, the 0210 reception being "Radio check, anyone?" 0211 had 427 again calling D-1, but the Dispatcher-side reception was D-3 answering 16R. A brief duel for air-time involving 427 and D-3 would follow, D-3 telling 16R something broken about the San-Vel switch.
I had gotten moving, and elevation changes were doing their usual mischief. At 0213, 427 again called out to D-1, Dispatcher-side hash following. 427 repeated at 0215, but the Dispatcher-side hash coming 3 later.
At 0223, The P&W Dispatcher St. Albans started a convo with the the now-inaudible-to-me 427, asking for their power and car count and -- effective 0225 -- giving them Barbers to Worcester, 427 next calling D-1 again. The same minute, D-2 (two) called M427, so another plural 427s. 0227 also featured a brief spurt of Yard-Channel hash, and 0228 featured another D-2 (two) call to 427, the rest going garbled.
At 0229, D-3 hedzupped 16R that their OD time had been set back 4 hours to ????, adding that it was "per the Chief."
0234 produced another garbled D-2 (two)-to-427 reception, and 2 later came extended Dispatcher-side hash with only "M427" clear. Coulda been either D-1 or 2.
At 0241, the 333 WLs were dark, " for the 334s and 335s. There was 0252 hash on the channel for San-Vel ops, so 16R probably had gotten E. At 0255, D-2 called out to LA-2, "light power" and "signal indication" being clear. There was other activity WB up Da Hill, but my attention was devoted to staying between the barrels as paving went on.
Up Da Hill, the 345s were dark, and 4 in the yard looked just as it had 24 hours earlier, complete to the Westervelt-tented centerbeam. The Extension, however, had 2 boxes, and the tie stack between the House and MART fence had gone. Not sure when
EB at 0308, there was D-2 garble, "car count" and "set off at Dover" being clear, so mebbe 427? 2 later, D-3 answered FI-2 and gave the 5956 permission to reverse direction from where they stood and proceed W on 2 to CPF AY.
At 0314, the 333 WLs were dark. The EB staggers for 330 would be at Approach, all else dark, up to and including the EB staggers for Derby at 0336, 2 covered hoppers on the RVJ stub.
At 0325, D-2 had called LA-2, "17E" and "OK on signal indication" being clear, 5 later, the FI-1/2 parking spot had been MT, the covered-hopper count on the W end of East Side down to 1, and 0333 had been the start of a spell of hash on the San-Vel channel.
There was Dispatcher-side hash at 0336 in the Nashua-Street ZombieZone, and 3 later a semi-clear D-3 asked FI-2 about MT and car numbers. At 0341, D-3 phonetically repeated "DTTX" and a broken number and then rogered with thanks. Dunno what the trash issue mighta been.
After all that activity, the balance of the trip was quiet.
Coupla OTs -- Since yesterday, all the Fitchburg streets I drive on had gotten new yellow lane dividers. Also, gas at the 345 Dunks was $3.29, while for Cumby's, nonmember regular at Cleghorn was $3.25 and Main Street nonmember regular was $3.50. Dunno if rates might change in daylight when there's more competition.

I am hearing a lot of crews getting "you are set back 4 hours" instructions lately. They are always followed by the "per the Chief" statement, as in "don't shoot the messenger." One time the dispatcher said "yes sorry."

0210-0405/05-26-2023 started off with 0212 Boston East hash as proof of scanner function, 0224 Road-side hash sorta confirming that. Further proof came at 0225 when a breaking D-3 answered 264 with something about being headed over to ??? and the new release -- speedo? -- being in the trailer. More hash would follow, but topography is topography.
At 0232, somebody told D-3 they were ready to head E, FI-2 being a possibility, but we'll see. 5 later, D-3 answered 495 -- the expectable "ED" part unheard by me, but that's another "we'll see."
At 0240, the 333 WLs were dark, and at 0244 and in between the also-dark 334s and 335s, D-? said something about "restriction" and "one-five." Dunno where.
WB partway up Da Hill and at 0253, there was D-3 hash about a marker, later hash ignored cuzza trying to stay between the LH guardrail and the barrels in the paving zone.
Up Da Hill, the 345s were dark, and 2 in the yard had a mix of general from about the E FP to mebbe the ambulance company, heavy on covered hoppers plus a pair of coil cars and a clear-tented centerbeam load.
EB and at 0304, there was Yard-Channel hash that cleared enough for "...containers, FI-3 (three)," calling into question both my earlier FI-2 assumption and D-3's 0237 to "495."
0305 produced hash on both sides of Channel 1, and 3 later, Yard Channel "another 15," "wye," and "3 cars," possibly FI-3.
At 0311, the 333 WLs were dark. The EB staggers for 330 would be at Approach, but all else dark, up to and including the EB staggers for Derby at 0334, the RVJ stub covered-hopper count now being 3.
At 0315, there had been more both-sides-of-Channel-1 hash, and 7 later, a clear "3 more, FI-3" on Yard Channel. At 0328, D-3 had answered FI-2 (two), confirming that the Milling was lined and locked normal, the same time that KCIR 5956 was sitting dark, solo, and E-facing in the FI-1/2 parking spot, more than hinting that some FI-2 repurposing had again occurred. The W end of East Side had DS trashes. At 0331, there had been a spell of Dispatcher-side hash, followed in 2 by brief hash on the channel for San-Vel operations.
At 0341, D-3 asked AY-3 if they'd called, but then turned his attention to FI-3, asking if they needed the light for the Wye, adding that AY-3 would be coming back eventually and that they had the marker.
At 0345, D-3 answered AY-3, advising that if they went in East Wye, it'd be a "minute" cuz a freight train was yarding and they (AY-3) would follow them.
M427? 0345 would be when D-1 would acknowledge they -- with the 1727 -- were W and Clear of Barbers. According to the 05-10-2023 The Bull Sheet, CSXT 1727 is an SD23T4 rebuilt from SD40 CSXT 8077, so a celebrity. I had gotten only hash of P&W Road earlier, so dunno when St. Albans had given 427 Barbers to Worcester, and the only St. Albans clarity was at 0405 and involved Greenwood and Lonsdale. FI-3 car countdowns were the balance of "company" receptions.

Well, that seems to answer the question of "will we ever see an SD23T4 around here" recently posed in the Pan Am Worcester Main Line thread. Cool.

(Edited with remark on B&A sighting removed - CSXT 1712 is actually an SD40E3 anyway, not a SD23T4)
