If they do make Stewart into a major hub with a rail link to it, the service would have to be frequent for people to use it. Otherwise, if it is not, they will be in their cars for fears of waiting long periods of time at the station. What they have now will never work as they could not run back during any part of the evening rush, nor could they have service for early moring flights from the south because of oncoming traffic. If they were ever going to have an excuse to double track the line, this would probably be it.

According to my copy of Erie Employee Timetable 17, dated Sunday September 26, 1937, the Graham Line was double tracked in its entirety between Newburg Junction (now Harriman) and Howells Junction. Moodna Viaduct was single tracked. It further states:

Track over Moodna Viaduct for a distance of 3500 feet is single track, governed by signals at both ends of viaduct, controlled by the signalman at BS Tower. Signal No. 2, eastbound block signal located 350 feet west of the Viaduct; trains will not pass this signal when in "stop" position, until permission has been procured over the telephone from signalman and flagman sent in advance to protect movement over viaduct.

West end of single track is equipped with automatic spring type switch, normal position for westward track.

Apparently, BS Tower was just east of the viaduct.
