It appears 2005 may have been repaired. It has been moved and is now sitting uncrewed facing west with a string of cars including the caboose attached.
Meanwhile, 1888 is pulling a string of cars past it, heading east towards BG.

No info on the train from me today. Have to get my house ready for when the family comes over on Christmas. Scanner is on, if I hear anything on that I’ll post it.

I suspect they worked something out with Lakewood about Friday runs. They're much more sensitive and amenable to local opinion than Conrail, so as long as it's OK with the customer - -

Saturday is far worse that Friday. Friday snarls traffic but Saturday the rail trail from Farmingdale Howell is packed with
families walking the rails. They won't move and its hundreds at times. Remembering no driving after sundown Friday.

I know. I mainly said that because, being very close to Christmas, I’m wondering about crew availability. What if they only had one available crew and said crew had to bring DDRR RP-1 to Phillipsburg or something?
