Back on topic, I am still amazed at the lack of public outcry over the Viewliner deliveries. Amazement? Really? Most people don't like or even often think about trains. Even fewer even know about Amtrak/CAF's difficulties and probably the vast majority, frankly, don't give a damn. Amtrak's Viewline...

Aw, shucks! And here I was all excited about the first two diners being named after cities in Georgia. I forgot about Augusta, Maine.

Quite frustrating! Can't find anything on YouTube about them. Anybody know where some videos of them are?

Okay, let me clarify exactly what information I'm after: Including the Milledgeville Branch Sparta customer and hoppers stored at Plant Branch, of the 22 total on line customers on the CSX Georgia Road Subdivision between Atlanta and Augusta, what trains are serving them and how can those trains be d...

Thanks mmi16, I was wondering the same things..... Thanks MattW, Good to know. That's one detail that didn't come forth in discussions on the Yahoo Group. I didn't know about A761/760 which explains why I was seeing more long freights through Conyers than I expected assuming just one in each directi...

According to the GA-WPR Yahoo Group and Facebook, " CSX Train #Q461/460 has been abolished. All traffic will go to Waycross, GA for classification." Looks like the EHH Ax has already started falling. Some are saying this is the death nell for the Georgia Road Sub. One can only hope some of...

A look at TTC using Google Earth today revealed no evidence of the JetTrain prototype still parked there. Anybody got an update?

Researching Siemens' website it seems rather likely that one of the two following will be the basis for the AAF cars: http://www.mobility.siemens.com/mobility/global/SiteCollectionDocuments/en/rail-solutions/passenger-coaches/viaggio-comfort-for-oebb-en.pdf http://www.mobility.siemens.com/mobility/g...

Political and technological discussions notwithstanding, I am interested in just one thing. What is the current location and status of the JetTrain prototype?

Most air to air combat today and in the future will involve shooting missiles beyond visual range, the day of dogfighting has long been gone. The ability to detect the enemy fighter before it can detect you and shoot and destroy it from farther afar is important today. That's what the F35 is suppos...

On a D&H related Yahoo Group I'm a member of an observer in Binghamton, NY posted the following: "On a train setting on DL4 is 4 or 5 Brand new Amtrak Coaches setting just of the Clinton St. bridge at 2227pm...not accessible to shoot now...JJ" To which I replied: "JJ, Amtrak has n...
