You have nothing to worry about unless there is a sudden urge to run freight trains full of veloicraptors down to AC as this would be the ideal route... LOL! Actually - it would be! - From Rosmoor/Jamesburg - they'd have to put that 2 miles of OOS track back in service down in Farmingdale - and get...

Lehigh is dead today. Been here (so plnfld) since 8am and only one EB CSX stack around 10am. Anyone know what's up? New Years Holiday shut down. Both railroads were to start back up at 7am. Most traffic was held far away from North Jersey. There was a L173,Q703, and K806 that ran after midnight on ...

The crane was back this morning - and some other MoW equipment - right outside the yard office. If I wasn't running late for work I'd have stopped.

I will get on the road a little earlier Friday morning and hopefully they'll still be working and I can get some shots.

Last summer I saw a car full of poles being unloaded at the east end of Brown's Yard - between the hot dog truck parking lot and the grade crossing a few hundred feet east - where that old concrete booth is. I've seen the box cars on the team track in Freehold - but I've never seen that guy unload t...

On my way home tonight I spotted a big ol' yellow MOW crane w/ small gondola sitting at the east end of the yard. Hoping that there's some sunlight in the morning so I can go take some photos of it. Anyone know why its there? (EDIT) It is still there. Photos from this morning. http://rfarrell1969.rr...
