Re: Line rationalization

Both lines have "essential" aspects: MILL-BJCT is MMA's outlet to the west. PAR's line provides a connection to the Maritimes and connects with the Bucksport Branch. Beyond that, there are only a few small customers on MMA (to my knowledge - logs in Brownville, wood chips in La Grange, an...

Hello Does anybody know of or do they even have a schedule? I am planning to go there in early/mid march to hunt down there fleet of ALCO's/MLW's. The other question is what might be a better railroad to go to the GVT system or the LAL/WNYP system? I am coming from Maine so distance will be a factor...

Well I haven't had much luck at NMJ for the last 4 months as far as PAR goes. NMED does seem to leave in the morning though last week I did see it leave around 3 PM, it stalled in Carmel. Keag jobs have been running all times I think, sometimes around 3-4 AM, sometimes they'll come through in the af...

Skipping to the Subject of Searsport I saw that they were going to get I think $8 million it said. Over the month or so when I have been heading out to Northern Maine Jct MMA has been doing some work to the branch. I have seen a good sized tie gang out putting in new ties over the past month. Plus t...

No camera, was on my way to work, so no pics. I saw 2 of the containers which were CSX and EMP. Anybody have any i...

Funny how the news will twist things. Most likely what they were told was clean up would take a couple of weeks. They never asked when the line would re-open. Push the cars out of the way, fix the track and get them rolling again, That's the railroad way. Cleanup between trains. Mike Exactly, shoul...

A friend who works close with the SLR told me 22 cars so far, I guess it keeps climbing, they thought 16-18 at first. I have a few pictures that I took when I drove by it. There are about 4-5 Maine State police there, there not letting you get close to it at all or take pictures. I tried to take som...

Regarding the high and wide load I have seen a 20 axle flat car at Northern Maine Jct. about 1 week ago.
Talked to some people of PAR & MMA said that it was going down to Searsport to get loaded. Than MMA would give it to SLR. They both said they THINK it was going to NH not sure.
