"Lighten up" is an understatement! Some folks here need to learn basic forum protocol. The original poster clearly put a  symbol there which indicates a joke, sarcasm, or something NOT to be taken seriously. Even those not employed by a railroad can easily appreciate the pain in the ...

Well, doing the incredibly difficult research of reading the previous three posts, we find the yard job is S-1 and the job to NS is WC-1. So there's two out of three for you. Seems the only two questions left are 1) what is the water train symbol and 2) are there any other crews besides those three.

"However, in a 1975 map of Conrail....."

Conrail did not begin operations until April 1,1976 and various changes were made before the final system was decided. A map of Conrail from 1975 would have been speculation on what was going to be, not necessarily how it actually wound up.

"The Man", that's fantastic stuff there! Sounds like management came from an HO set and had no clue about the real world! :P Somebody needed to drop a dime to the FRA fer sure! Speaking of radios, anybody else had the "pleasure" of working in a yard with two crews, and the guy on...

Frieghtliner? I thought that was a truck, like Kenworth and Peterbilt.

As for the routing CSX is famous for running cars hundreds of extra miles in the wrong direction just because they don't want to make an extra stop along the way.

Did they ever fix that EMD switcher, or is it still blown up? Or scrapped?

I don't understand the last post, saying "consider the source may be misinformed". Scharnhorst began this on another thread by saying he heard FGLK was swapping 1751 for another GE. It then was claimed Conway Scenic was involved, and it was a 2 for 1 swap. Conway Scenic has lettered 2 unit...

So much for the 1751 only going back to the B&P because of financing paperwork! Looks like - in this case anyway - the railroad official knew more than the railfan community!

Good answer, Scharnhorst!

Why would you post in one thread what's been going on in another thread on the same board?

So on one hand we have a railfan, and on the other an official of the railroad involved? I think I know where I'm going to place MY bet but it will be interesting to see how it plays out anyway.

NJMidland states the NY&H was merged out of existence about 5 years ago, speaking as a stockholder of that company..

A week later Kinlock posts that it still exists.

You guys want to fight it out and let us know who is right?
