Thanks for clarifying. Would be cool to have all 8 in service 6 on NYS&W/CNY and 2 on WNYP! I still think that if CNY/NYSW has 6 of them they would have little need for the BDLX cr@p. I believe the ownership is not M&E per se, but rather a couple of individuals associated with the M&E an...

ALL??!!!! Can anyone corroborate this? That would be awesome...although I don't see why NYSW and/or CNY needs that many of them...unless all the BDLX junkers (various GPs, ex P&W -8s, etc.) are going to be displaced (which would be excellent, tired of seeing ratty units in random mixes of painte...

That would make a total of FIVE- they already have 41, 45, and 78!

Current Jordans that I am aware of in New England: -MMA has several, both of Bangor & Aroostook and of CP heritage, some with front snowplows, some without -SLR does have an ex CN unit -Guilford has 2 ex MEC Jordans, I think all the ex-B&M ones (originally 5 or so I believe) are gone -CV had...

You have not found the 7805 because it is IN the enginehouse at Morrisville!!! (or at least it had been for most of the time since the LVRC shut down, and was as of August 2003 when I last vistied Morrisville...) 7805 never left, and I guess since it was the only remaining unit that isn't a basketca...

I assume the engine which is privately owned and will be trucked out is the 7805? Glad it will be saved, although it sounds like the engine will be removed:(

Am I missing somnething here? It ismade to sound that the R&LHS is under the gun to sell the property, but no mention is made of why, only that they may "pull the track" as a "last resort". Last resort to avoid what? Is this just a historical society politics thing or somethi...

There is no more St. Lawrence & Hudson subsidiary. It's all just Canadian Pacific Railway now.

As previosuly stated, CN never had/has trackage rights on the Tier. With NS taking over parts of the D&H operation I wouldn't be surprised to see some CN/NS interchange transferred to Rouses Pt., but this would be a very roundabout routing for any traffic to/from points west of Toronto on CN (i....

What are approximate times of operation for the intermodal trains on the Maine section of the line? Are the freights still generally arrived at Brownville Jct. around mid-afternoon and leaving eastbound in the early evening?

Ok, first of all I don't see anything about this on that "ticket web" site and no mention of who is actually sponsoring the trip which seems pretty sketchy. Any "event" that cannot be traced to a sponsor and for which tickets are ONLY available through a third party and no mentio...

This is the Stourbridge Railroad, the Stourbridge Line simply refers to the passenger excursions run by the Wayne County Chmbr. of COmmerce. There is is still a little bit of freight on the line, but only on the order of maybe a car a month. The boxcars are owned by the Lackawaxen-Honesdale Shippers...

101 and RS-3M are almost always between the two rows of elevators, WELL out of view from any remotely "public" place. They don't seem to mind visitors though, just ask at the trailer (at least, they didn't mind visitors the last time I was there).

I'm pretty sure 51 is still around there somehwere, it was still there about a year ago. The units are definitely black. Can't believe they have no more traffic, last I saw there must've been 30+ cars there!
