The 1071 never made it onto the Extra Saturday. the Mid Extra Saturday was a disaster, only the 1053 and 6 Rotems made it back to Readville

With fiber-optic cables dispatch could easily be moved to Cobble Hill. Likely scenario when they expand South Station. No way would you move it across the street to High Street. Just wondering if Keolis or Amtrak dispatch is less expensive or "better". No idea where the Mill River-Springf...

you've said this several times in other topics, it doesn't matter. Takes a train 2 mins to clear TOWER 1 and there you go, NEC available to all again

This is why Widett circle has been selected as the new area for a facility, its less than a mile from SS. Easily get trains in and out of SS with ease if the Post Office continues to be stubborn and not vacate the area. Going to the former Beacon Park is a 4 mile trip

CETC = Centralized Electrification and Traffic Control Amtrak and Keolis dispatchers share the same room at SS. Keolis dispatchers are employed by Keolis, so wouldn't matter if the MBTA did it or not, they payed for it thru the contract and to be honest, with all the problems at High St., I believe ...

The newest problem (on a long list of issues) sidelining the rebuilds is water leaking in thru the windshield, and down into the nose shorting out the electronics (ACSES, CABS/ATC)

Thank you for the correction/clarification. My "Heavy Rail" comment was referring to the CR fleet

they get what they deserve. The lowest bidder never is the best.....shocking. How many of the new Rotems are in service? since the first batch arrived, been here, there, Area 52, BET and back again .............0 zip none nada as the Steve Miller Band once said "Take the Money and Run"

lite rail and heavy rail can't mingle together on same track. They must mean an update and modernization of Cabot Yard Gotta remember, pple writing those articles/pieces of information for the public know nothing about trains/subways etc. The majority thinks that the MBTA subway and CR are the same....

IIRC, Erie is focused on an overseas Loco order at the moment, the F40s put on the back burner. I'll try to get more deets. I DO remember being told that the last Rebuild that came back (I forget the unit #) was going to be the last one for quite some time
