I could not agree with Yank more. I run the gennies everday and the rebuilds are terrible. That dont load worth a dam and on this particular move I make in GCT in electric mode, I start to move and the power drops and then catches again. I have a regular genny, and its never an issue.Go figure

Well thats funny, I had just brought 2 high def camcorders-the canon vixia hv30 and the sony Hc-7. Both are taped based camcorders. I shot at night with canon at night shooting high speed commuter trains and it did suprisingly well.

What you saw was m-4 triplets tide on to a pair of M-2's. The 8900's are M-4's. The 9000's are M-6's.

They are temporary bridgeplates. They are used when the track department has either track 4 or track 3 out of service for maintenance.

It's about M-1's and stadium service. M-2's came into service at the same time, if some M-1's are being held back for stadium service, wouldn't it be a logical follow-on to ask about M-2's related to the same service to the stadium? Or do we need a completely separate thread for M-2's? But now that...

Hey dude. Jaap is absolutely right. There is a train that goes to croton harmon and most of the time he has M-1's and its a 8 car train-I should know because he leaves off of track 111 and I leave off of track 112 with a express train to New haven.(Train 1570)

Actually if you can get a panasonic PV-gs500 would be a great camcorder or the sony HC-96 would do just fine. The panasonic is a 3 chip machine witha 1/8000 shutter speed. Hope that gives you a little insight. The only drawback is that they cost more than 500 dollars.

Well guys, I was the engineer on train 591 tonight and I had the refurbished M-3's 8138-8139 on the head end of my train. The interiors look pretty nice and the floors are pretty neat also. We will see how long it stays that way.
