Right now, the CMSL relies on a great group of volunteers, many of whom I know personally, to staff their trains when they are in operation. These volunteers are fantastic and are a big part of why the CMSL was able to offer more service last year than in recent years prior (and hope to do so again ...

Right. Which would require construction of an additional dedicated track. I know this has been discussed several times before, but since we are talking about activating service on a trial basis, how could this be done without spending thousands? Can anyone come up with a logical, thought out way? NJ...

I don't know that there is no need for regular service on the CMSL. Has anyone done a study or asked the general public if such a service would be useful? Let's look at the proposed new line to connect Camden with Glassboro. The government wants to spend a ton of money to see if this would be feasi...

Please, Please, PLEASE - Do not go poking around uninvited in areas beyond the stations. If the two cars are where I believe they are, you have to go past a gate to get to them and that tends to upset both the property owner and his dog. Both sides of the track are private property. The property ow...

I visited Tuckahoe on my way back form the shore yesterday and M-407 and M-410 were conspicuously absent. ;). There was also a string of VERY freshly delivered trash container flats (shiny wheels) on the Cape May main just below the crossing, obviously more cars for storage which is also a positive...

i have 2 ideas for the north: one is the NYSW. that may not be the best idea, but just a suggestion. the other is the old ROW on a trolley line that is still visible from Fair Lawn, NJ to Mahwah,NJ. for the south, another old ROW, still visible, from just north of Rio Grande,NJ into Wildwood. this ...

Thanks very much to everyone who came out today - it was great having such a relatively large group on one of our excursions. Hopefully we can all get together again sometime. Also thanks to the hospitality of Tony Macrie of the CMSL for meeting with our group today despite his ridiculously busy sch...

A few years ago there was a company that utilized Williamstown siding to load trash containers that they freshly painted onto flats. That may be the same company.

It sounds as if it is still in the planning stages, but would you happen to know any potential stops? It is likely stops will include the SRNJ at Winslow, CMSL at Tuckahoe, and some other spots that have been in the news for various reasons down here in SJ (Vineland to view what Conrail has recentl...
