Isn't there an Erie Sleeping Car in a Museum in Ohio somewhere?

Nope, The Minnesota River was a Ex US Army car purchased from Amtrak.
As for the car in Lacrosse, WI I'm thinking 425 might be X425. It could possibly be the former MOW number?
Yes, the 4449 will be returning the same way it came from Chicago. I've heard that the 4449 will be cut off west of Michigan City somewhere, possibly CP 502, where the IHB main branches off the NS (NYC) main in Indiana Harbor. We'll be departing Durand at Noon (11am "Chicago"Central time) ...
If I can get off work then I'm game. If not then I'll wave as I go by.

Yes, Mike, we did have to go out to Bailly and wye a few of the 300 series cars with the 1000 to get them all facing the correct directions.
Ryan
The 1000 was also facing the wrong way,( We had to run long hood forward both ways) When they turned the new cars earlier in the week, it left the 1000 facing the wrong way. It made it easier for my crew because we never had to uncouple.

I wish I could've given you guys notice but a couple weeks ago I had to take the 1000 and Car 106 to Bailly and wye them and bring 'em back to the shops.

So? How was it?

Did a little online searching and found this on a Frisco forum... "Two PRR 10-5 sleepers, "Cascade Meadow" and "Cascade Range" were painted to match The Texas Special from May 1948 until sometime in 1950. In 1950, the two cars were replaced with 10-6 sleepers "Swatara R...
Just a heads up, while passing Burnham Yard this evening on Train #111 I spotted the latest group of new cars in transit to the Shops.
