What time does ct-2 arrive in Danbury these days ?

Once again another arm chair quarterback that speaks without knowing anything apparently! Before you post check your facts and learn the fine details involved. CT is the problem always has and there is no end in site.

Yes Jaap is right that CDOT gave the HRRC rail but what he wont say is out of the train load metro took the best sticks for the danbury yard rebuild a few years back and gave the Housy such crap that it would cost way to much to install as welded rail because of all the joints, torch cut, and curve ...

As for the Maybrook resticted, I bet if the HRRC found out about that it would be changed quickly ! The HRRC still markets the Maybrook and has it Marketed for OD moves and as part of the Agreement for trackage rights when sold it MUST be maintained. AS for crews south or west of Danbury Jaap is cor...

I don't have the link but in the Berkshire Record, Mr J Hanlon owner of the HRRC said that the line would be upgraded to 50mph and that Equipment would be indeed regular commuter equipment such as the metra equipment with $200,000 spent on each one to update and rehab with additional power aqquired ...

Yeah ! two rails behind and if you were operating under NORAC you should've been able to stop short of the bars ! Assuming that part of the RR and your motor car group is governed by NORAC there . Of course communaction with all party is always the key. Hopefully it didn't cause you too much damage !

BOTH CEDAR Hill and Hartford will not work for two reasons number 1.) CSX has a hand in both places 2.) both yards have sold off so much of their land there will be no room ! Find another place in central/southern CT and they might make a go at it and be profitable, not huge but money making none th...

That was indeed a Mail tranfer track and they also did roadrailers for a short period of time. I beleive it is now only used for mow. The building is used for mow and cs offices.

Many Railroads ussually just leave the unit running 24/7 in the colder weather if not equiped with a apu or other form of method to keep the unit from freezing. That being said I don't if MMA 21 is equiped with anything but the 7324 does have a apu. As for the heat, that would just be lack of care b...

Here is my opinion, I really don't see enough traffic coming or going to the valley line. That part of CT is industrial dead ! If something was to start it would be smarter and cheaper to just start a reload area on existing trackage.Don't get me wrong it would be nice to see the line open but the s...
