I spoke to a Patco employee who told me that most of the original married pairs have the similar numbering scheme (224 is 1024, etc.) but most of the single units do not match their original numbers. Only two or three of the twenty-four have the similar number.

I was in Lindenwold around 2 pm Wednesday when NJ Transit was moving equipment. It looked to include five sets of locomotives and coaches. Was anyone able to get a video of this move? Unfortunately, my phone died and I could not get video or pictures.

The shut down can be easily solved. Turn over the Atlantic City line to the Cape May Seashore Line. The number of "excursion" trips could exceed regular trips. The icing on the cake would be to see the RDCs return to Philadelphia. Although there would likely be hundreds of issues to be res...

There are also potential problems with the RL being a mainline rail operation, and PATCO being a sealed rapid transit operation. Loading gauge, for one. Signalling, for three. FRA rules like couplers, for three. Union and federal work rules, for four. I read an excellent book several years ago abou...

I thought that the work was to be single track every day for several weeks.

Whatever decision you were talking about when you said It was likely cut, along with the new Hudson River tunnels, by Christie. Passively not promoting, or not providing NEW funding if nobody's asked him to, is not the same as actively saying "somebody's asked one of the agencies I control to ...

Whether sarcasm or not, cancelled or just no updates that you've seen, what evidence do you have that Christie made the decision? Made a decision to what? Cancel or proceed with the project? To date, I have not seen the governor promote the line or provide funding. If NJ Transit has $0 for the line...

It was likely cut, along with the new Hudson River tunnels, by Christie. That was sarcasm. I don't think anyone in this community took Corzine's promise of getting the line started to Woodbury any more seriously than his proclamation that work would start on MOM to Red Bank. They were last minute p...

PATCO just should have ordered new cars. Like damn come on. How long have they had those cars ?.....and how long did SEPTA have the GE EL Cars ?.....doesnt make any sense. PATCO i always felt was in better shape then SEPTA but i guess not lol Another example of being penny-wise and pound foolish. T...

It is actually the second station at that location. It would be a similar situation if somebody constructed a subway along Arch street and had to remove the existing tunnel sections.

When I asked about information at the open houses, I thought I was told that the website was http://www.glassborocamdenline.com. Since that website has not been updated since 2010 I doubt that the project is progressing. I hope that I am wrong.

According to the Inquirer, it appears that work on the Glassboro-Camden Line is resuming. Is it a go for actual construction?
