The Little WACR got hit hard too, some of the fresh rehab was washed out. 804 and the Nacho were tied down downtown, and apparently were in quite deep water at one point.

The Northern Sub to Burlington and big WACR are ok and in service, NPWJ ran yesterday with CP 2280 and GMTX 2617 for power, and 20 cars. Looks like they may have pulled a few OMYA cars out of storage.

A big train today, VRS managed to run Newport-Farnham-WRJ. Seen here at Bridge Street Fairlee with CP 2280/ GMTX 2617 and a whopping 42 cars:

Apparently they dropped 13 cars to add to the storage cuts in the siding at Ely.

In the photo above of the repaired embankment, is there a culvert at the bottom somewhere? Did they improve the drainage at least? And where do you get an entire hill of fill these days? That must have cost a lot of $$$ to fix. But it does look great.

Saw WRJ to Newport northbound at St J AT 2PM with about 6 cars.At around 5PM THEY were switching cars south of Orleanns at a small yard with new silos and 2 long side tracks with portable conveyor to unload hoppers.Quite a few cars on sidings and activity. Does anyone know if this is new or upgraded facility and is it grain ,cement or both. thanks

That's a facility that Couture Trucking built 8 years ago to expand upon their business in Lyndonville that is at capacity. It's barley, etc. for the local craft beer market.
