There were no Alvinator announcements in the period from about 7:15-7:45 while I waited for 328, shown as about 30 minutes late on TrainView and the display at my station (which not all stations have). I wonder if this was because of the computer being down. If so, they should have some backup way of making these announcements. The ticket agent had no idea what was causing such a delay in the outbound direction. The inbound trains weren't affected - yet. As the trains to turn into them continued to run late, the inbound service was no doubt going to be impacted.
I gave up waiting and got into my car and drove to work (fortunately I have this option, plus I had parked for free in a nearby church lot where rail commuters are permitted to park, so I didn't lose a parking fee) once TrainView started showing 328's ultimate destination as Woodbourne. I didn't want to have to wait there for 330, which was also listed as being 30 minutes or so late. I can understand why this was being done, even though I didn't like it. And people waiting at West Trenton and Yardley for 3223 got deprived of that train and had to wait a while for their next train, the turn-around of 330, scheduled for 8:50 a.m.
Ironically, I rarely take the train on Wednesdays right now, but the two worst morning commutes I've had affecting 328 so far this year were both on Wednesdays.
326 was running "only" about 10 minutes late. If it had been running 30 minutes late, I would have been able to take that one.
Soon you will need to be in your 60s in order to remember the 60s.
