On Saturday as me and my family were heading to a BC football game I noticed 5 or 6 double decker passenger cars sitting on the Y next to the engine terminal from 93, the cars where sitting along side with a Guilford engine that's actually been sitting there for a few weeks now. Is the north end of the MBTA now going to be useing those cars? If not why were they there, are they for Amtrak or for one of the scenic railroads in Maine?

Those were the latest deliveries of new Kasawaki's via CSX. The Guilford engine is the power for their BO-1 local. The GRS crew works out of the rental trailer at the crossing up near the Lowell mainline.

Since engine 902 is working on the Readville Switcher lately, I am assuming you meant coach #902?!?

First, those engines (902 and 904) should have been renumbered 1902 and 1904, just a suggestion.

And secondly, I saw one of the new 900-series (didn't get the number) being pulled on a Kingston bound train last week.

It appeared that there were three more 900-series coaches in Beacon Park Yard in Allston today, over by the yard office.

I saw four bilevels this morning on the north side of BET. I would expect they're 912-913-914-915. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes, there is a new set of 900s sitting outside BET. I dont know the numbers yet, or if they have electric doors. But they have to be cleaned, they have picked up some additions to the paint scheme on the way from Nebraska! :-)

I believe this was mentioned in another thread a while back.....and if I'm not mistakem they are all supposed to be equipped with electric doors.

i thought so, but when sery 2831 said he wasn't sure if they were w/ electric doors, i thought thtat they would have electric/non electric

Well 5 of these cars have been bought by RIDOT, I am sure there will be at least 5 cars without electric doors. And it would be odd having 28 Old Colony bathroom cars! Plus each one of those trains have a 1500 leading! How many bathrooms will they need!??
