SEPTA planning group has for the past 4 years promised to begin work on the replacement and relocation of the Willow Grove station on the Warminister line.
They come to meetings, show plans give dates, get concessions from the township on plans.
All went quiet about three years ago except for "you are still in our plans". The town has spent BIG money to further the cause that could have gone to other "real" projects.
Does SEPTA Planning group do this to other towns, they are a convincing group when presenting their vision and plans but seems all we get is "we will get back to you SOON".

The station replacement project must be moving ahead: the latest round of Warminster line schedules has adjusted service significantly:
Significant schedule changes are being made on the Warminster Line due to the construction of the new Willow Grove Station. During construction, an existing track to the north of the current station will be deactivated, reducing line capacity and train operation. Rush hour trains are being rescheduled and reduced to accommodate the improvement.

NAS Willow Grove has been closed for over 10 years. The northern end of the base is a Air Force Raptor site with all the satellite dishes and military security that goes with it.
The main portion of the base just sits still in time due since it is a super fund site

NAS Willow Grove is now Biddle Air National Guard Base, a PA Air National Guard site that houses, besides the drone unit, multiple engineering units and (at least the headquarters for) a Stryker brigade. All units there are PA National Guard units.

Is the existing station a state designed landmark on National Register?

Willow Grove Air Base is now called Horsham, given it is actually located in Horsham and not exactly close to Willow Grove.
