When Does Oak Island Operate?

My wife said she wanted a "railfan photography adventure" today, so I dragged her down to the Doremus Avenue overpass of Oak Island Yard. The place was dead. Is Oak Island a Monday through Friday Operation?

No. Definitely more active during the weekdays, but not by much. Monday can also be somewhat of a slower day as that is generally a maintenance day....

I think it may also be more active in the mornings, than in the afternoons, too.

South Kearny seems to have more activity (trains moving around, locos in sight, etc) than Oak Island, but maybe that's becuase you see more of SK from the highways.
