SEPTA mentioned it, too.
"Beginning with outbound train #9741, scheduled to depart Jefferson at 3:50 p.m., passengers traveling to Bridesburg and Tacony, must stay on the train and ride to Holmesburg where they can catch a shuttle bus back to Tacony and Bridesburg. There will be no service to or from North Philadelphia. Delays are expected due to continued Amtrak repair work."

In this case it is just as easy to take the MFSE and then the 73 or 84 bus from Frankford Terminal to Bridesburg
instead of backtracking from Holmesburg Junction - The 84 bus serves the Tacony area and also for that matter
goes right by both Holmesburg Junction and Torresdale Stations...

SEPTA shut down service earlier this morning on the Paoli/Thorndale line due to broken rail

PATCO is reporting service suspended Tuesday night (June 23, 2015) and Wednesday morning (June 24, 2015) while PSEG crews work on restoring power to the line. A fast moving thunderstorm knocked out power to 500,000 residents in the region, and even though PATCO is on a standalone grid, that was also affected by the storm.

NJ Transit will cross honor tickets, though the AC Line was also suspended Tuesday night due to high winds.

According to the system status notifications on the SEPTA website for this morning (Wed, 24 June 2015), the Fox Chase and Media/Elwyn lines are suspended until further notice. And service is only available between Malvern and Center City on the Paoli/Thorndale. Also, NHSL service is only to Radnor Station...

Looks like a lot of cleanup is needed for the downed trees, broken wires and rail interruptions...

Fox Chase service was restored with the first train in at 7:45 this morning.

As of 10:00 Regional Rail service was restored to all but the Media/Elwyn line with lingering signal problems causing delays of up tp 15 minutes on all lines.

NHSL has only been having service between 69th and Radnor since last evening. Near I76 before Gulph Mills there was a train disabled (Norristown bound) likely because of a power failure during the storm. As I drove by last night, there were passengers from it (looked like a double train) walking along the tracks to get to the station as it didn't make it to the station. One of the passengers I know personally and had put a video of it up on Facebook. Not sure if it has been resolved yet but I guess they are still bussing between NTC and Radnor.

That would indicate a train that ended its run at Temple and then deadheaded into Roberts Yard.

SEPTA's July on time performance was 81% system wide. Not sure what the industry or east coast standard is.

Delays on all trains coming or going north of Jenkintown this morning. Signal problems from the storms last night.
