Right; according to the link posted by Mr. Norman, the southbound electric was on the first track at left and the northbound on the 4th; Amtrak southbound uses the 5th (the first of the non-electrified tracks). Most likely the authorities closed off the whole right-of-way for their investigation.

Track work affects service for Carolinian and Palmetto trains

CSX Transportation will perform work on the railroad between January 15 and March 7, causing approximately 30-minute delays and schedule changes along the route.

Tuesday - Thursday, January 15 - 17

-Palmetto Service: Trains 89 and 90 will operate normally but will bypass the station of Selma. No alternate transportation will be provided. Passengers may use the Wilson station, about 26 miles north of Selma.

I stopped to see Selma once on an East Coast trip; it’s not far off 95. Cool station. It’s on the NW corner of a frog, must have been a “Union” station. I think it’s just north of a yard, and west of one as well.

Believe it’s single track territory so a reroute would be necessary. So, some rare mileage.
