Hard to tell from the video if that caused enough damage for it to be written off, just might not see that one for awhile. At this rate we just might see the HHP8’s make a come back. :P

it may have damaged plow and some stuff at side of engine but guaranteed not anything in range of scrapping a unit . betya it be back in two weeks .

How does a car get on top of the grade separated NEC?
A closer look with google maps shows a private road paralleling the tracks north of the station heading to an industrial site, why would anyone be taking that dead end private road unless completely lost? Oh, an apparently drunk as well!

One was recently crash tested against a tractor at a private crossing in Lancaster County.

You won't see this unit for quite some time but it will be back.

As a fleet, they still are dropping like flies. Hopefully, the overhauls will help...even though it seems to have made some of them worse. :wink:
