Nice photos! Its too bad I didn't get to Sewaren until the units were already squirreled away under the West Ave. bridge, in such a position that made it impossible to see anything but the nose of the lead unit (for understandable reasons). Nice photos again!

A rare northern visitor came in yesterday on 68Q, and will most likely depart this afternoon on 69Q.....

Thats the first flat bed intermodal unit I've seen in NJ on 212. Good catch. Hopefully those continue.

With Hurricane Sandy wreaking havoc on coastal NJ this week, something interesting from the Yahoo TierSightings group.........

"An NS 68Q-01 Loaded Ethanol Detour Train is making its way East across the Southern Tier today supposedly destined for Providence, RI. This train normally runs the NS Pittsburgh/Harrisburg/Reading/Lehigh Lines and terminates along the chemical coast in Central New Jersey, however the railroad and refinery facilities sustained damage during Hurricane Sandy.

The 68Q-01 was just by Adrian (M.P. 319) on the NS Southern Tier around 13:00 hours with the following stats:

NS 9220
NS 8874
NS 8903

81 Ethanol Loads and 2 spacers

There is possibly a second NS 68Q billed for Providence, RI that may detour over the Southern Tier as well in the next day or so! "

No further info at this time...
