South of Newark Penn Station, on the northbound side, is a south-facing abandoned track ramp, with a shack labeled CLIFF. I've never seen it notated on a map and Googling doesn't produce any results. Does anyone know what this used to be?

If you mean the bridge across South St. which leads to what now looks like a auto salvage/repair yard, we discussed this before, think it was a small transfer yard in historic aerials. That is supposed to be the former site of South St. Stations as well.
This site is a bit wonky, but it does show Cliff interlocking (including that bridge).
