A while ago (spring 2014) I started this project I called ''Wonders of Canada''. On this (very) amateur project, I go around places, so far only In Québec and Nova Scotia. There, I film parks, places and sometimes, events and comment on them. Then I upload my video on my ''ViaRail CanadaFan'' youtube account.

I requested permission to post about it here, since some ''episodes'' also involve Via Rail train riding. On top of these Wonders of Canada Episodes, this Youtube account is also where I now post my trainspotting videos. So from now on, I will post links to my videos here. To stay on topic, ONLY videos that involve a Via Rail train (either train-spotting or me riding one) will be posted here. Should you be interested in any other videos, I invite you to look up my YouTube, or Patreon account. For now, I will post link to every video involving Via Rail train I uploaded on my account so far. Obviously, I will also post links to other Via Rail train video I will upload in the furure as well.

Take note that this is an Amateur project. I do all my videos using the built-in Camera on my Samsung Galaxy Note II, and I barely ever edit my videos. Once I get the funds to get a better Camera, you can expect a raise in Quality.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSUeVDKFSGA" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; : This is a slide-show of around 720 photos of my trip to Halifax in october 2010. It was originlly uploaded in my ''NeoArashi'' YouTube account, but for the purpose of this (then new) channel I decided to remove it from my old account and reupload it there.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hoKHjwmCRg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; : This is a video of a Via Rail train going in reverse toward Quebec City's train station.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFsnOOsmEeQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; : A video of a Passing Via Rail train (Number 24, toward Quebec City), roughly 5-10 minutes away from the station.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9xT-JgyUpc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; : The Via #23 Leaving Quebec City, taken from near the station.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQAJa5vYdcQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; : The Via #27 Entering (and then leaving) the Ste-Foy station, toward Montreal.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73csg_fGGuI" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; : Wonders of Canada, Season 1 Episode 8 : Me and my Girlfriend riding the #14 toward Halifax, Beware as the video is over 30 minutes long!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVjnCay7FNo" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; : Via #15, leaving Halifax, taken behind the fence, near the Tim Horton close to the Halifax Station.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NY9sF_0LxYU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; : Wonders of Canada, Season 2 Episode 1, Me riding the #27(?) toward Montreal and the #601 Toward Jonquiere. As I left Quebec City fairly late, I couldn't get good footage (it got dark early on the road) But the main ''event'' of this video was the Montreal-Jonquiere road. Be aware that this video is over 1 hour and 20 monutes long!

When I make new trains videos, I will put link here.

Enjoy!

Posting here because while I did not make a new train video yet,I dis start a Wikia about this small project. It's very basic, and it's mainly created as an advertisement, so that my name (and videos) are showed to more websites! As of now, only 5 pages were Created. but if you are interested, please look at the link below.

Here's the latest episode of "Wonders of Canada", Season 2, Episode 3. This time, the Montreal-Toronto Train is involved. And I beleive ovee half the route was recorded, for the video lasts a fairly staggering (by YouTube's standards) 2 hours and 44 minutes!

Enjoy!

Here's the latest episode. Uploaded today. The video was recorded in late july but I couldn't get my butt to upload it.

Womders of Canada, Season 2, Episode 4. In this episode, I take the train from Shawinigan to Wemotaci (the town is called "Weymont" or "Wemontachie" according to viarail). The ride is roughly 4 hours and 20 minutes long. That said, most of the route is on this, as the video itself almost broke the 4 hour long mark (3 hours, 59 minutes!) I got off the train at Hervey-Jonction (and I tried to show part of the Hervey Split) and La Tuque. Not expecting any of you to watch the whole thing. Nonetheless, enjoy!

On a side note: my next vacations destination has been chosen. It will look like this:

Quebec > train > Montreal (1 night) > train (1 night) > Halifax (1 night) > Bus > Charlottetown (3nights) > Bus > Moncton (1 afternoon) > Train (1 night) > Ste-Foy. I may or may not record part of the train parts (as I've already done Ste-Foy-Halifax) so it is possible that I post an episode that involves a train ride only in the intro ;)

It is my pleasure! I'm gonna check, because I think I have some footage of a Ottawa-Montreal train ride from my last vacations. If I can scoop them up, I'm gonna go back in time and make Season 2, episode 6 soon (Season 2 episode 5 is already up, but doesn't involve a Via Rail train, so...)

EDIT: I also found my Niagara Falls - Toronto train ride video. I got on an Amtrak train, but it was actually staffed with Via Rail people. Despite the ride being 2 hours long, the video itself is pretty short (for the serie's train video standard) at 35minutes. So click on the link below for Wonders of Canada, Season 2 Episode 6

On a side note, Episode 7 is already on it's way! And it does involve my trip from Ottawa to Montreal

Season 2 Episode 7 is up!

As mentioned in my previous post, this is a video of my Ottawa to Montreal trip. The video is about 1 hour, 47 minutes long.

Not a new WoC episode, but I've decided to try to film with my new phone, an LG G4... And I must say, I'm imoressed by the quality! Took a video of the Via 23 leaving Quebec City train station, but this time from another angle that I never filmed from. Here it goes:

https://youtu.be/s-XT2zdgCoM" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

So since this is a trainspotting video, it's only about a minute and half long. Different from my 1-2 hours long videos lol.

Enjoy! (and can you give me feedback about the image quality compared to my other videos?)

A new Episode is up!

https://youtu.be/k_NgStARz1w" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Season 3, Episode 1

The episode starts with me and my GF in the VIA #29, but the main "course" of the video is yet another Ocean Video although this time, the portion between Campbelton and Moncton, which was heavily ignored in season 1 episode 8, gets a lot more "screen time" this time around. Most notably, I go outside the train in Campbelton and Moncton.

Also, as I type this, I am in Amherst. I already have episode 2 and 3 ready for tranferring to my computer (so I can upload them) ... Neither of which involve a Via train, but I'm gonna take the Ocean in Amherst back to Ste-Foy later today, so I'll probably record the Via #15 arriving in Amherst as part of my Trainspotting series.

After a nearly 5 months hiatus, the continuation of season 3 is on it's way, with a Via Rail train episode included! I will also upload a video of me riding a train heading to Senneterre (though it's not going to be a main episode, but rather a Trainspotting video) while on what I like to call the ''rock bridge'' between La Tuque and Sanmaur/Wemotaci. Lastly, but unrelated to this forum, is a video of my and my GF'S family going to the Quebec Aquarium. No train is involve, but we do see the Quebec bridge, which many VIA trains cross daily. Expect some links during the week (or next week)

Been a very long time since I've posted anything train related on this channel, lol, here it is =)

A small video of the #28 arriving before the #14 I'm posting this from.

Here's a new video of me riding the #65 yesterday.

https://youtu.be/7sd_j___aCM" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I was in the last car, so I could make a small 30 second video of the view from the rear end of the train. All in glorious 720p/60FPS!

Made a video of the Montreal-Senneterre train yesterday. It was pretty dark, and the video was taken at the barely-ever-used stop of Weymont (which for some reason the People of Wemotaci stopped to use despite their more commonly used stop of Sanmaur is a bit further away from the village) so I had NO light source.

Train was about 2 and half hour late (Thank god for the website that allow us to see how late a train is, wouldn't wantbto wait for that much time, lol)
